Author Reply: Thank you -- part of the task I've set myself in this story is to explore the complexities of the House of Finwë as even-handedly as possible. I think it's inevitable that he himself bore some of the responsibility for what went down, but since Tolkien seemed to view him as a good, positive figure, I'm trying to stay true to that while allowing for some flaws, too. |
