| "The insistent childish voice was accompanied by a sharp rapping on the door; followed by the door opening and then a sharp rapping on Bilbo's head." This one made me laugh out loud. What a delightful little tale. Poor lil' Merry, trying to be so generous! And poor Bilbo. I know how it feels to innocently suggest something that young ones take entirely the wrong way. I wonder if the bit of deception on Bilbo's part was an influencing factor in Merry's later schemes... | |
