"He reached down and tore a handful of grass from the earth, as if shredding more life would ease his frustration. "
I liked this line a lot. It really summed things up for Gil-Galad quite well and it was a truly "Sindarin" observation for Celeborn to make.

I liked the description of Gil-Galad leaving at the end, too with his shoulders straighter and seeming more confident.

Nicely done.

Oh I am still around Sophia! And yet again, this story charms me. It has an elegance and such love of writing that shines through here.. simply beautiful Sophia. I love your portrayal of Gil-Galad, young, insecure and yet not. I am happy to see that you started to share your magnificent stories again! Please do continue writing with your unique voice!

I love young, insecure, guilty Ereinion. Poor lad. Scarcely grown up and he's stuck with so much responsibility. Not to mention doom. Celeborn must feel for him - even if he has no intention of relieving him of the task.

Not only have you captured a very critical moment in the life of the last high King, you- as usual- made it seem as though it was taken directly out of Tolkien; only it has more emotional depth. The image of the young Gil-Galad after Sirion's kinslaying, could not have been more smoothly or realistic. More over, Celeborn has such peace and strength about him that you really picture him as the future lord of Lorien, and by some means without even attempting it the difference between Noldor and Sindar is obvious. As always, the scenery is breathtaking, the emotions are striking, pure and you can feel them like a whisp of smoke all through the story and in every word. One might look at this as a snap shot; it is as vivid and as expressive. Wonderfully written and as beautiful as I've come to expect! Thank you :)
