Locke And Key  by NaughtyNettie 6 Review(s)

"Jaw Session"! I love that phrase. :)
I must admit I was afraid that when Legolas realised his old friend was a human I thought he would run for the hills in fright. It is lovely that although he does not remeber estel, he could sense comfort and friendship in him. Very sweet chapter.

Author Reply: Sorry for being so slow on this response. I am glad that you liked Legolas' and Estel's interaction. I played with several ideas and this one just felt more natural to me. Thank you for reviewing!!!

I imagine that having Estel tucked in bed and injured must have made him rather less threatening to an ill-treated Legolas who didn't remember his friend. And then, as soon as he opens his mouth, he's clearly elf-raised - which must make him less dangerous.

The flashes of returning memory are promising. His father and his home. Two things that will make him feel much better.

Author Reply: Estel probably just has one of those auras that makes one feel comfortable, hmm, I need to find me someone like that :o)

Thank you so much for reviewing!!

Ah, the reunion between the two friends at last. It is so nice to see Legolas getting glimpses of his home and father. Maybe the memories are starting to come back? I like the way he keeps patting the letter from Thranduil like it's his security blanket. In a way, I suppose it is. It's his only link right now to a life that he doesn't remember.

Another good chapter. Thank you!

Author Reply: Thank you! That is the feel I was going for, that Legolas would keep verifying that connection to a father he "lost", I'm glad you liked it.

Hello!Happy Memorial Day.great chapter I just hope Legolas will find the Key to his memory if you get my meaning and please dont let the bad guys get away! Even if Legolas cant remember its neat the way him and Estel can still have the same relationship and comfort each other.

Author Reply: I have had a huge demand for justice on the bad guys, I have taken it into deep consideration ;o) Thank you so much for reviewing!!

Well, that was therapeutic. I was so pleased when Legolas had those memories of Thranduil, and I had to laugh at Estel's description. Scary, passionate, kind, loving--nobody you'd ever want to cross; someone you'd be very glad to have on your side. That's the Elvenking.

Author Reply: Thank you! I am so glad that you approved of Thranduil. I never really understood the mean, abusive, elven father, doesn't make much sense to me.

It's good to see that Legolas starts to rememer things. And it's even better to see that it's because of Estel telling him about them that he does.
The trees of Mirkwood will be a very good thing for Legolas to see again.

Author Reply: Thank you! I am glad that you liked the chapter. The trees would be great for Legolas right now, I'll have to work on that :o)
