Locke And Key  by NaughtyNettie 6 Review(s)

Well - he survived! But he's still not well.

Angrod was sensible to keep quiet until they got away - and I'm not surprised that the others found it hard to believe that poor Legolas had survived the hanging. And I'm not surprised that the traumatised elf went straight into flee mode. Not that it will do his health any good!

But I really hope that the scummy men get their comeuppance. Vile bunch.

Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad that it wasn't too unbelievable then. I was surprised to find out, when doing research, that people have been revived 30 minutes after hanging...That's a long time :o)

Another request for justice, I'll see what I can do. Thank you for reviewing!!!

I must admit that I have been very lazy in leaving reviews (for which I apologize) though I have been following this wonderful story all along.

You've done such a fine job in detailing the plight of Legolas and his loss of memory that I've felt his confusion, pain and frustration right along with him. It must have been totally overwhelming for him to be alone amongst the men with no memory of his past, and some of those men are mighty evil. I hope they get their just dessert in the end even though Legolas managed to escape them.

Now that Legolas is among his own kind, hopefully the memory will come back and he can put this all behind him.

Excellent job!

Author Reply: I believe reviews are a priviledge, not a right so I don't expect anyone to leave them, but I am flattered when they do, especially when they are as nice as yours :o) Thank you very much!!!

Yeah, I expected him to live as well, but it must be horrid for his rescuers. Concerned and thinking him dead, then relief that he was alive, only to find he doesn't know them! Oh, and i'm with Daw - the bad med definately deserve what's coming (hopefully!), besides, they can't keep Legolas's long knife - that's just wrong!;)

Author Reply: You know, when you put it like that, I was pretty horrible to the search party wasn't I...thinking him dead, finding him about to be hanged, thinking him dead again and then finding him with no memory, not very nice indeed.

You're the first one to show concern for Legolas' knife so just for you I will see what I can do about getting it returned to it's owner ;o)

Aw ,I feel so sorry for Legolas but Im glad he lives, surely these men must be made to pay for their evil deeds ,I keep thinking they are gonna get him again.anyway great chapter! This has become one of my favorites!

Author Reply: Thank you! I am really glad that you are liking the story! Making the bad men pay seems to be high on the request list so I'll see what I can do :o)

Wow, this chapter sent shivers down my spine. Poor Legolas, still not recognising any of his friends, it's amazing how those kind of injuries can cause such things to happen. Indeed he's still quite a formidable foe because of his training and they are just lucky he's in such bad conditions, they would have never been able to find him otherwise.
I think the only thing that will really be able to give him his memory back will be him seeing Aragorn, when they get him back to Imladris.

Author Reply: Yeah, I have a feeling that Legolas is one of those elves that could avoid being seen if he really wanted to. Hide and seek with an elf must be a very frustrating experience ;o) I'm glad that you liked the chapter and thank you for reviewing!!!

I was expecting Legolas to still be alive, but I wasn't expecting him to bolt like that! I suppose to him, the elves must look as if he's never seen one before.

I still want the bad men to get their comeuppance. I don't suppose you could arrange that, could you?

Author Reply: And not to mention he thought he was one dead elf :o)

Since you asked so nicely I will see what I can do about taking care of Rathir and Thad ;o)
