Now if that isn't the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers, I do not know what is! My gosh, what a fast paced exciting chapter. If Legolas is dead I will eat my computer!

Author Reply: Well, you don't have to eat your computer, I'm to much of a whimp to kill off a Tolkien creation :o) Thanks for reviewing!!!

This was an entense battle, and I'm kinda glad Elladan sliced a bit of his cheek... He wasn't nice at all....

Poor Legolas hanging, and no help seemed to come. Leandir, seemed to come in handy, but I think he is rushing them out of there, to save Legolas's skin, perhaps he knows he lives?? Leandir is a good guy....

Update soon, Please...

Author Reply: It took a lot of restraint to give him such a small token, I'm sure.

Leandir is a good guy, if not a little confused. He tries though :o)

Thank you so much for reviewing!!!

I'm hoping that the news of Legolas's death has been exaggerated. Leandir's smile seems to suggest that it could be so. But I hope the elves will be back to carry out their revenge on those scummy men. Take them off, perhaps, to face an elven trial for what they have done, before a court that is just as prejudiced against them as that narrow-minded bunch were against anyone who was not them. (Although they would be hard-pushed to find elves that petty.)

I suspect the rescue party was handicapped by a desire not to kill anyone, while the nasty men had no such scruples. I am moved to hope that they attack the elves, actually - as it is probably the only way they will end up satisfactorily dead.

I'm glad Leandir left the fighting to the elves and focused on cutting Legolas down - otherwise the rescue party would definitely have been too late.

Author Reply: I have always interpreted the elves as more peace-loving and never really the revenge/death type. But, that isn't to say that the waylayers won't get theirs, I just couldn't let them off that easy. More to come :o) and thanks for reviewing!!!

An other fine chapter you wrote here.
I just love the action going, but I'm somewhat amazed that Elladan was able to keep himself from killing that Thad guy. I don't think he really deserved that, but then again, the elves might just want to bring him to justice a bit slower than that :)
Luckily elves are that strong build and that Leandir cut Legolas sown in time, even if he tells the men and elves different.
The elves will know beter though, and somehow I don't think Thad and his men will get away that easily.

Author Reply: You know, I'm amazed too. I don't think I could control myself quite as well. But then again, I haven't had thousands of years to build up patience :o)

Thank you so much for reviewing!!

Whew! You know he's not gonna die (else no LOTR!), but you sure know how to make it as close as possible. Daw is right, Leandir was smooth in how he played it out.

Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad that you liked how he did it. I don't have the courage to write a character death story, I have read some AWESOME ones but I'm too wimpy :o)

So I'm guessing Leandir just lied? Cool! He's clever. The other elves can just walk away with no more trouble. But what a scene. Nice job, Nettie.

Author Reply: Leandir may have just found a way out of his hard spot. Thank you so much!!
