| I recognized the voice as Gandalf's. Wonderful, poignant adaptation for Movie-verse. Author Reply: Cool! I will admit I was a bit disappointed when this was at Marigold's Challenge that she mentioned Gandalf in the little blurb as I was curious how long it would take readers to know who was speaking. Thank you so much, Larner :-) | |

| Gandalf conceals himself beneath a costume of familiarity - but really he is nothing like the grumpy old man he shows people. The right words at the right time - and Pippin is heartened for what he will face. Author Reply: I always liked that Tolkien had Gandalf be a mystery, and the he often had the right words to say. :) Again,Bodkin, thank you so much for reading my stories and for leaving a comment :) :) | |

| Oh, Pearl! I very much enjoyed this tale about Gandalf and his eternal battle with evil, the Balrog, and then finally coming to the place where he comforts Pippin during the seige. I enjoyed it again! :-) Pippinfan Author Reply: Thank you so very much, m'dear, for all your encouragement. | |
