Locke And Key  by NaughtyNettie 6 Review(s)

This is what you would call a tight fix, all of a sudden ther's murder involved.
I guess that that Gillian did something that Rathir didn't agree with... like argue with him about what he was doing to Aragorn and Legolas.
So they're gonna hang our poor friend are they... I don't think so... I doubt that the 4 friends that are riding in will let that happen ;)

Author Reply: Yes, a tight fix for all those involved :o) Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to review!

Oh dear, poor Legolas. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion that he would be found guilty. I like Leandir, maybe he can interviene and keep our elf prince alive until the real help comes.
Great update, Nettie.

Author Reply: I'm sure that Leandir would love to step in and help out but his duties only extend so far and his has an obligation to the town. I am glad that you liked the chapter. Thank you for reviewing!!

Not so much a trial as a travesty.

Leandir clearly doesn't believe a word the scum are saying. I mean - they forgot to mention a murder! But what can he do? Due legal process has been administered in Toytown and it is his duty to uphold it.

Although I rather hope he decides that stupid is stupid and scum are scum - but I don't know that he can.

Where is that rescue party? The courts of Toytown will definitely be more impressed if the amnesiac elf is supported by large powerful people with big swords. They might even decide that their strength outweighs the strength of the Nasty Boys and go with their sense rather than their xenophobia.

Author Reply: I agree, it most definitely wasn't much of a trial at all. Leandir is very stuck, he believes Locke but his job duties only extend so far. Thank you so much for reviewing!!

Wow!!
This is wonderful... Poor Legolas has no- one in his cornor except Leandir, and he can do nothing though he wishes to...
It isn't fair they take thier community's people word, the rulling was unfair.... Legolas is in bad shape, his friends are on the way I hope....

Update soon, Please....

Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed the chapter. The trial most certainly was unfair but they didn't have much to go on. The next chapter will be up VERY soon!

Legolas certainly isn't his usual, Fellowship-in-the-future self, is he? I'm hoping the party from Rivendell comes to the rescue.

Author Reply: He most definitely isn't himself, he doesn't really know what that means right now :o) The search party is on its way, they just need to hurry.
