Elrond's heart-wrenching, unconsolable sorrow is hard to watch. As many years as he had to reconcile himself to Arwen's decision and prepare himself for their parting, there's no easy way to have a last moment with a loved one. This was a beautiful accounting of that last meeting. And the description of the changeable, unprotected lands through Arwen's eyes was beautiful.
