| Geez, that Took had me on the edge of my seat, and i'm reading this at about 9:30 a.m.! I can't imagine reading this at night! LOL! Pip the story-teller. I never realized he had such talent! And I liked that bit about the cat. And the whole thing with Pip scaring himself, I should have seen that coming! :) Author Reply: LOL Thank you! I just had to let the cat live and I would have been like Frodo about that. I would have wanted to know what became of the cat too! Glad you enjoyed this one and thanks for reading! | |

| LOL! Oh, GW that was hilarious. I love that Pippin also scared himself and that he's so proud of his story telling abilities. I'm glad the little kitten got away too. :) Author Reply: I could never have a story in which the kittens didn't reach safety. It's a rule of mine. I would have been right there with Frodo wanting to make sure that the kitten was ok. Thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed it! | |

| Oy! It took me a couple of luch times to get through this one, but it was worth it! I liked all the bantering between the friends--and I would swear on the Red Book that I was pretty much mirroring Frodo's reactions while he/we listened to Pippin's tale. LOL, I'm thinking, only Pippin would bring a kitten into a ghost story! It was cool that he was the hero/storyteller in this tale. LOL, I still love Merry's dream sequence in Hammer! Thanks for sharing this! Pippinfan Author Reply: You are most welcome. This was a hobbit_ficathon challenge and so you may thank Anso for the kitten. We had to include a rose, a candle, a bed, and a kitten in the story. I am sure there were other less-strange ways to do this but you know me, this was what I came up with. LOL Thank you for reading this and for reviewing. Oh, Happy Halloween! | |

| That was a very creepy story - I'm not surprised Pip succeeded in frightening himself! I did laugh at Frodo, wanting to know what happened to the kitten - I'm always worried about the animals in any story. Brilliant story! Author Reply: I would have been just like Frodo was in this one too. I always worry about the animals in movies and books. The first time I read LOTR, I practically begged a friend to tell me what had happened to Bill the Pony when they had been forced to leave him outside of Moria! I kept saying, "Just tell me that Bill's all right." LOL Thanks for reading and have a Happy Halloween! | |

| Great story, G.W.! Pippin is an excellent storyteller and thanks to Merry's insistence he had a chance to show it. He even impressed his older sister. But it's just like Pippin to make a story so creepy that it scares himself ;-) Thank you and happy Halloween to you! Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed Pippin's story. He got off to a rough start but thanks to Merry he did get his chance. I do think that a person or a hobbit can scare themselves under the right conditions and since Pip is extra impressionable I could see him doing just that! | |

| Well done as always!!!! Your stories are a joy to read. Thank you for having Pip do so well that the tweens had to show him some respect. Wonderful!!!! Author Reply: I think that Pip's natural story-telling ability would win over most any crowd. So glad that you liked this one. Thanks! | |

| Fancy Pippin managing to scare himself! I love Frodo's amusement - and curiosity about the kitten - and Merry and Estella's flirtation. And the way the older tweens patronise Pippin. They'll not get away with that in the presence of Merry and Frodo! Author Reply: If anyone could scare themselves, I do think it would be Pippin! He did manage to impress the older crowd with his story once Merry stepped in and made them give Pip a chance. Thanks for reading and reviewing! | |

| Loved it GW! though I don't much go in for scarey stories. I wanted Frodo to find a kitten and release her on the bed in the middle of the night but then I am an evil minded reviewer! (P.s spotted a couple of typo's tied/tried and wonder/wander) Din't spoil the fun though. Author Reply: LOL I love your idea of a prank for Frodo to play! If only I had thought of that! Glad you enjoyed this one and thank you for spotting the typo's. I corrected them and I appreciate that touch-up! Thank you for the review also! | |

| Indeed, trust a Took to tell a story that scares himself. And that he didn't want Estella to know is priceless! Author Reply: I think that since Estella would have been the same age as Pippin's sister Pervinca that Pippin might have had a less than friendly relationship with her at the beginning and then once she began to keep company with Merry, he might have been even less fond of her. I like writing the two of them as having a slightly rocky relationship. LOL It was like Pip to scare himself, wasn't it? Thanks for reading! | |
