| Poor Pippin - that sounds a most painful wound. And dog bites are so often followed by infection - and I can't imagine warg bites are any better for your health. Gimli's pride in him is a nice foreshadowing of the Troll Incident and Pippin's retrieval from beneath it. I hope they get enough time to prepare themselves for the arrival of the rest of the pack.
