| It's hard for me to believe in long term unrequited love, I guess. I think we tend to love people who love us in return, maybe even because they love us. And in the case of Finduilas, who's to say when fondness verges into love? Love in any marriage changes over time. Author Reply: I believe you're right. Seeing as I'm only fourteen and having never experienced any real romance, much less marriage, I can't be very qualified to write real love. Still, I gave it a shot, mainly as an experiment to see whether a hormone-driven adolescent such as myself can write a decent romance that doesn't reek of lust and hormones.
