| I liked this set too. If Imrahil gave his daughter in a political marriage and she was lucky enough to be loved, then the Valar have smiled on him. I know it was common for rulers to do that but it must have been hard nonetheless. I guess they had different expectations of marriage than we do. Author Reply: True, true. I'm still trying to figure out if Gondor did arranged marriages or not, but it's fun to twist D/F romances to the hilt. I rather like Peace myself out of the three Marriage drabbles. It's interesting to write their marriage day in three different ways, and it's funny that all of these D/F drabbles grew out of the Unrequited drabble in Chapter 1. You see, I was hit by a plotbunny when reading the quote in the first chapter. I was thinking, hm, it says Denethor loved Finduilas, but did Finduilas love Denethor? Than I wrote one with their love mutual, and their marriage of choice. Then, I wrote one with a political marriage, and hence, the three storylines with one of each in each chapter began. | I loved this chapter - it was my favourite. I really like Finduilas' multiple personalities. And your "Young!Denethor" is really realistic. Please, more, more! Good luck, Silvae Author Reply: Thanks muchly! It was fun to creat three different storylines with three different Finduilases in the same story. Thanks for complimenting my Denethor. Even though there are three different variations of the D/F relationship in the fic, Denethor is the only one that really has the same personality throughout. Meanwhile we have: Finduilas A - Likes but doesn't love Denethor Finduilas B - Subject of political union Finduilas C - A woman truly in love with Denethor Thanks! Namarie! Loremaster | |
