A very sad and beautifully touching story. I don't think it was a coincidence that I happen by chance to read your story. This week will mark the 3 anniversary of my father's death. I was at his bedside when he passed and your story hit very close to home. Thank you for writing. Author Reply: Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about your father. My dad died when i was 8, some 9 years ago and though i wasn't there at his bedside, i know how it feels like to have lost a parent.

This is heartbreakingly beautiful. What a wonderful tribute to Faramir -- at every phase of his life -- through the eyes of someone who truly loved and knew him. "When asked how he had managed to tame the Shieldmaiden of Rohan when many before him had failed, he would say that he didn’t; for why would he want to cage a beautiful bird? He had simply showered her with love and showed her that it was indeed a feeling like no other. And like a wild bird that had grown accustomed to a stranger’s presence, she had come to him." Lovely. Author Reply: Weee!!! *dances around* To hear such compliments from you is simply...wow....Thank you! :)

You have a very nice descriptive style here. I like the flash-by, episodic structure of the piece -- it sounds as though you've been working from the idea that people's lives flash by them before they die, and you've expanded and played around with it well. There are one or two phrases that seem a little too modern, and there are times when you use "whom" when you want "who," but overall, this was a very smooth read, and I enjoyed it. Author Reply: Hmm...yes...that is one of the main problems of not having a beta. Thank you so much though for your review and comments. I'll work on improving on that...
