| You're giving us much more, and more finely detailed, scenes, than PJ did in the movie ROTK. I'm glad that you remembered Mablung, and spared him. Author Reply: Since PJ chose to keep the film mostly Frodo-centric, I tried to incorporate what Tolkien gave us in the book, but keep it true to what we see onscreen. I do have an obsession for details, such as the use of lavender to promote sleep in Eowyn's chamber, a story behind Boromir's vambraces, etc ... I put Mablung as a connection to the books.
