Someday I’ll awake, refreshed and healed. I’ll open my eyes, beholding the splendor of angelica, daisy, dandelion, honeysuckle, lilac, and lavender, breathing in the sweet scent of the flowers, showering myself with the tranquility I find in my garden. I’ll relish the warmth of the sun in my skin, knowing it won’t be scorching anymore. I’ll reach and get myself a glass of sizzling lemonade, emptying it down my throat in one gulp, feeling fresh and guilt-free of the thought someone dear is wheezing in thirst. Someday I’ll awake in bliss, merry yet peaceful, away from this murky and desolate piece of land.
