I could choose now.  

            That’s why they’re all standing like that—so quiet, so still.

I could choose life.  I could stand and fight.  I could gracefully accept the Ranger from the North.

            Steward.  I could do my ancient duty.

Faramir calls.  My son calls my name and I weep...

            Adequate jewel...he was never the one I loved most.

If it were Boromir on the bier...

            Oh, if it were Boromir, I would put aside visions of doom; forget the wood and the beckoning flame.  I would let the Seeing Stone go. 

If it were Boromir...
