Vivid memories
Merry, Pippin, Elanor
Were their births for him

Merry surprised them --
Esmeralda was "barren"!
Brandybucks rejoiced.

Pippin came too soon
Almost died at arrival
Love kept him with them

Elanor chased back
The dark shadows from his life
Hope blossomed in him
