Return of the four  by frodo16424

The last chapter.  My story is now finished.  Hannad le to all my reviewers.  Mayn 2004 be happy and bright.

Twilight in Imladris. The council meetings were finished, and
Celeborn and Thranduil were packing prior to their leaving on the
morrow. All was finished, and the two, along with Glorfindel, were
sitting in Elrond's study, waiting for the Lord of Rivendell.
There was a companionable silence, each enjoying the others'
company. Elrond entered, followed by three elves carrying trays of
blackberry tarts.
Celeborn was the first to see the tarts, and laughed. "Ah, ha!
Your forfeit! I will relieve you of your tray. Diola lle." He then
took the tray, and sat back down
Elrond just raised an eyebrow, and said "Creoso lle. Your Majesty,
here is your tray. Glorfindel, there is one for you as well. Ta
naa seasamin. Iire lle auta?"
Thranduil answered, "I will be leaving at sunrise. I was hoping to
say Namaarie to my sons, but do not know if Estel and Legolas will
return ere then."
Elrond smiled, and said, "They said they would return for your leave-
taking. I am not sure they will safe from their gwadors, however."
"They will be safe, Ada. We promise." There in the doorway stood
Elladan and Elrohir. "They will be here within the hour." The
twins gave their father a hug, and then hugged Celeborn as well.
Thranduil rose from his chair, and went to the two brothers. "Ions
nin, Diola lle. I have enjoyed myself. Tenaa' ento lye omenta, Aa'
menealle nauva calen as' malta."
Elladan responded, "Aa' lasser en lle coia orn n' omenta gurtha.
Namaarie."
Glorfindel waited until he was sure the twins could not hear him.
He said, "At least they are not as, shall we say..colorful as they
were."
"Yes, mellon nin. Perhaps you would enlighten us as just WHERE that
dye came from?" asked Elrond. "Do not play the innocent, as it will
do you no good."
Glorfindel smirked, and said, "Why ask me? I deny putting the dye
in the soap."
"I did not ask whether you put in the swoap, I merely asked if you
knew how the dye came into Estel's hands," Elrond told his friend.
"That tale will never be told," responded a voice from the doorway.
All heads turned to see Legolas and Estel standing there with smiles
on their faces.
Thranduil embraced Legolas, and said, "I will be leaving at dawn.
Estel, will you and your brothers honor me by riding with us for a
ways? Legolas, you may, if you so desire, ride back and spend time
in Rivendell."
Estel gave a slight bow to Thranduil, and replied, "Ta naa
seasamin. Diola lle." He turned to his father and grandfather and
gave them both a hug. He gave Glorfindel a smile, then left with
Legolas.
Celeborn turned to Elrond and said, "You have raised a fine young
man, ion nin. He will be a great leader, and a most beloved one."
Turning to Thranduil, the Lord of Lorien said, "Mellon nin, you,
too, should be proud of the fine young son you have raised. He,
too, will be a great leader of his people, and beloved as well."
Elrond responded first. "Diola lle, Ada. However, Glorfindel also
aided me greatly in raising Estel. Diola lle, mellon nin."
Glorfindel bowed to Elrond, hiding his face, but not before Elrond
saw the shining unshed tears.
Again, Elrond had the same feeling of benediction, a feeling of
loving arms wrapped around him, except he knew the other three felt
it as well. He turned slowly back to the empty room, and
whispered, "Namaarie."
