Perched on a low stony bench across which was Aragorn son of Arathorn, who was now Elessar King of Men, Frodo tightened his arms around folded knees pulled close to his chest, sighing deeply, “So beautiful.”

A figure standing beside him turned sideways, downward. A small smile curved the corners of his lips. “I am pleased to see you understand them all, Frodo,” Legolas whispered. “You are such an amazing creature.”

Frodo gazed up, smiling back at the elf, saying nothing. A cold breeze wafted by all of a sudden, and Frodo shivered a little, hugging himself tighter.

“Are you cold, Frodo?” asked Legolas, and an arm sneaked around the halfling’s lean shoulder. “Allow me.”
