A Doll House  by Iorhael

A Doll House

“You mean I can put anything into it, Frodo?”

“Of course, Pippin. It’s yours. I give it to you.”

Pippin propped over his older cousin, giving him a breath-stifling hug before going back to the gift Frodo had presented him, a still empty dollhouse made of the finest carved wood.

“Everything’s so tiny, isn’t it, Frodo? Look at the door and the windows. Must make tiny chairs and tables and drawers.”

“I’ll help you, Pippin. Worry not.”

“And also dishes and mugs to be put on the table, and oh! Some cushions and quilt, too. One must get comfortable while curling up in the couch.”

Frodo’s eyes glittered with delight.

“You have such lovely ideas! We will make them together.”

Pippin turned his gaze to Frodo. His ear-to-ear grin was now adorned with tears.

“You’re the best cousin I’ve ever had, Frodo!” His body was all over Frodo’s yet again. “Thank you, oh, thank you very much!”
