Shadows close in around him; the voices whisper of darkness. All he can focus on is each step forward. But just as he falters, he sees a light in the mist. And all he can ask, all he can say is ‘Are you going to bury me?’

‘Are you going to bury me?’ he hears when he finds the other half of his soul. All he can say is no, for how could he ever bury part of himself. And for a moment he loses hope until he sees the ray of sunlight shining through the curls of the other.
