How lovely! The story of Numenor is very poignant and haunting. Did you re-post this, or did the breach of Jan 2025 inspire you to write a new poem? If it's the latter, then at least something good came of it :) If it's the former, I'm glad you did!

Thank you! It's a repost, but I didn't put a comment to that effect because I'm not really sure it got much traffic the first time so I figured it didn't really matter... :-P I'm happy you enjoyed it!

This is so good! On rereading the SILM recently for the first time in many years, I was struck by how poignant the story of Numenor is and how very meaningful for the real world. You have captured this very well in your poem.
