Agreed - it puts me in mind of the Lay of Lethian. :-) I can picture it all so well.

Beautiful work! (Quick question - between 115 and 120, should it be ‘beguiled’ rather than ‘beguilded’?) Loving it.

PSW · 22 August 2022 · Chapter 1: Canto I: Of Finrod tarrying in Ossiriand

Lovely! So glad I came across this. I love to see verse written in Tolkien’s world, as he wrote verse in it himself. Looking forward to reading more.

It's really cool, and rather appropriate, that Finrod names Men as the Second-born". Another beautiful chapter. I wish you'd break up that especially long verse into two smaller ones, though...

thank you for reading! i re-read it, and maybe agree here. there should be a break after the description of cuivienen ends, maybe.

The last line made me shiver with anticipation. Beautiful poetry that puts me in mind of Tolkien's Lay of Luthien.
