Oh... not good, not good at all! But a great place to end a chapter... :-D

Author's reply

Thanks! :)

Eeek! *worries* It appears that the hobbits' encounter with Shelob wasn't widely reported. What a frightening creature!

Author's reply

As I tried to portray Galador as a trouble-maker (not too much, but sort of), it will be interesting to see (at least for me) how many people will worry about his fate, and how much they'll worry. Thanks for the review! :*

Aldwen · 25 August 2021 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Ok, I am back to reading and reviewing. :) This Galador guy will cause problems... Very nice chapter, still building suspense! Thank you!

Author's reply

Hey, good to see you! :) I hope that you are back to writing too. :) As for Galador - well, it would be boring if all the characters thought the same way, wouldn't it? :D Thank you for the review. :*

This is very suspenseful. Too bad none of them carry a light-filled phial such as Samwise the Stouthearted did!

Author's reply

And it's going to get more suspenseful, I can promise you that! :))) Thank you. *hugs*

Scary-scary! Faramir and his Rangers will have their work cut out for them. It makes sense that Shelob has moved to greener pastures now that Sauron isn't sending her ready-made meals; Ithilien is full of tasty critters and now humans.

Author's reply

There will be more scary moments! :) Thank you. *hugs*

Raksha The Demon · 22 August 2021 · Chapter 1: Notes and Prologue

Ooh! This is a story I always wanted to write. I'm glad that someone is bringing it to light. I hope that Faramir plays a major role here; i.e. actually faces and kills Shelob himself. Looking forward to more!

Author's reply

I hope Faramir fans will like the story :) As for the details... I won't say anything, it would be a spoiler :))) Thank you so much for the review!

The calm before the storm. Want to see how you play out the Ithilien Dunedain. My favourite is more towards the Northern Dunedain. Any elf will assist Faramir's men, dear? PS - Yes I did read your notes dear don't worry. Just able to reply now. You speak good English and write well now that I know you're Croatian. Great job, dear. I'm Malaysian. Aran

Author's reply

My English *is* good, but not that good as you can read in the "final product". Occasionally I make a grammar error, or write an awkward phrasing, or I'm insecure about which synonym to use. All of those things are corrected&polished by native speakers - my beloved beta-readers. I am grateful beyong words to them. Elves... no. :) Thank you so much. *hugs*

So, her favorite food was once elf. Someone should warn Legolas's colony that something dangerous is in the woods. Come to think, she is not afraid of Gondorian blades. I think the elves who once lived in Mirkwood may have to lend their senses and elvish blades to this hunt. Sting, at this point, is leagues away in the Shire. Either Anduril, or the Elves, now.

Author's reply

I imagine that the elves cleared Mirkwood of all evil creatures in the Fourth Age - after all, there is a note about it in the end of RotK, and the forest was renamed into Forest of Greenleaves. So Legolas is not in danger. But the Gondorians are... for now. Thank you for the review!

Haldar is a calm and experienced Ranger, and also a wise one who tries to sense more than what can be seen or heard. He senses danger, and something unusual going on, and those are the instincts that must be trusted.

Author's reply

Calm, experienced, wise... and something else. It will be revealed. ;) Thank you. *hugs*

Yes, Aragorn heard first hand from Sam and Frodo about that creature. It would be on his mind, I am sure. You have set the stage and built up tension nicely! This should be good!

Author's reply

Thank you! I hope I won't dissapoint you.

Aldwen · 8 August 2021 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2 of 16

Oh, this is scary...! Great build-up of suspense! Thank you!

Author's reply

thank *you*! it's good to hear that my attempt of suspense worked :)))

*shivers* There are scary things going on, and no mistake. I appreciate reading about the happy marriage of Faramir and Eowyn, and what a good team they have become to guide their people.

Author's reply

Faramir might have the official title, but I imagine that Faramir and Eowyn ruled together. Thank you, dear!

shirebound · 2 August 2021 · Chapter 1: Notes and Prologue

Oh my, what a chilling and fascinating premise for your story. It already sounds like Faramir and Aragorn are becoming a good team.

Author's reply

I'm glad you like the idea. Thank you for the review, dear. :*

Interesting. Very interesting indeed. You got me hooked. I'll be waiting hehe. Btw, mind if I ask where you're from dear? Since you kept staying english isn't your first language. Aran
