I can clearly see Merry putting his arm on Frodo's shoulder at the end... I think my favourite part in this story is Bilbo's wisdom, Four heads are always better than one, I’ll say. Besides, in a Quest as grand as this, it'll be better to be with those that you can trust.

Their confidence and determination has helped win them a place on the quest; and we know that in the end their faithfulness helped them win fame and unexpected victories. But at that point no one knew what to expect from the future, of course.
