shemyaza, you and your family have my utmost sympathies and prayers as you go through this difficult time. it was 8 years ago at this time of year that my brother received the same diagnosis. he is still with us but not well. he has diabetes, heart trouble and on dialysis. he is presently fighting leg infections. i understand the worry and the heart ache. may your sister survive this ordeal.
Now we get a whole new location and character. I hope that Raguel can really help Alex and that we get to see Namo squirming...

· Chapter 34: A Session with Alex
Again, poor Alex! I can't believe Namo was so insensitive for no reason. There must be something serious going on that Namo felt he needed to do this to Alex. I just hope Derek or Amroth can help Alex deal with this episode. Alex still needs to come to terms with the darker side of him.
Thank you for posting this chapter.
You have my every sympathy for the worry that you are going through. I dare say that you don't want a stranger's sympathy, but I do want you know that people are supporting you and your sister, and that can mean more in helping you to hope for a good outcome.
I can't wait to see Namo getting the Namo-ing of all times, it might do him some good.
So Namo is going to get Namo'ed! Hope we get to be flies on the wall for that event!
I am really sorry to hear about your sister's diagnosis! I can really feel with you about this, as my father died of pancreatic cancer, way back when.
A rhetorical question: What would the ME equivalent of the s*** hitting the fan be, I wonder?
So Namo got a little carried away...
I'm glad Alex is in for some encouragement.
(Also curious about that earth-changing event he'll be part of, someday. Wondering if this story goes that far, or if we'll be left wondering.)
I am so sorry about the Pancreatic Cancer. Your sister and those who love her will be in my prayers.
The rich and layered tapestry of Fiondil's weaving never ceases to stir my sense of wonder. His ultimately hopeful vision has brought comfort to me in times of turmoil and, yes, despair.
Thank you so much for bringing these chapters to light.
An interlude that is necessary. Glad to see Atar sending his own envoy. Poor Alex will never be what he wishes--beyond what he was trained to be. That is still a needed part of him.
Hm, I do believe Atar is bringing the big guns to bear!
Let's see how it all works out.
Lynda
p.s. if Manwe and Ulmo could get together and send a little coolth this way it would be appreciated! Thank you!

Alas, poor Alex!
I want to think Namo knew what he was doing, but seeing the consequences for Alex, I'm not so sure...
Thank you for your faithful posting of these chapters.

Not a good time for Alex, being so dramatically reminded he was trained as an assassin when he has tried so hard to leave that side of himself far behind him. And quite the surprise for his friends among the Elves.
I have the feeling that the next time Nate shows up Glorfindel will do his best to deck him.

Erm, are we sure Namo is on our side?
I would love to be a fly on the wall when Eru has his little chat with Namo, I thought he had learned his lesson after the little chat Manwe had with him the last time he pulled that stunt!
Off to Cliff House, milk and cookies time.

Who watches the watchers? Námo deserves a serious dressing down indeed, but somehow I have the feeling that there is more behind his seemingly irresponsible act than we might think. We'll see. I'm still very sorry for Alex; perhaps he can rebuild his former father-son relationship with Amroth, eventually. It would help him; although, of course, Amroth will be way too busy once the triplets arrive. That leaves us with Derek, I guess.

I'm not surprised that Alex had a reaction to his little trip to Vala-la-land - and especially the fight that Námo arranged for. It's amazing he didn't have a meltdown before this.
So is Námo going to be called on the carpet for his little brainstorm? He definitely deserves a rather severe talking to for playing fast and loose with Alex' sanity!

I love Ron's files. They are hilarious. Darren's past comes back to haunt him. It is intriguing to get glimpses of it, but unfortunately we will never get to know the full story, unless Fiondil is telling it in what is left of this story.
I hope the meeting between Glorfindel and the brothers will shed some more light on Glorfindel's dream.

Ah, dear me! This is a bundle of information and no mistake! as Sam would say. I, too, find myself fearing the coming confrontation between Glorfindel and the two Welsh Elves. It is GOING to be ... interesting!
As for Dearon--he is needing to let go that long-ago terror at what he'd done.

Ellie, Mari and Shemyaza - thank you for this act of honor and love in publishing Fiondil's last work. My deepest thanks to his family, too.
I miss him more than I could have ever imagined. I lost a close relative shortly after Fiondil parted from us, and the last year and a half have been a complete blur. I regret not stopping by sooner to thank you. All the best to you.

Somehow I failed to review the last few chapters. All were excellent and leading deeper into the story. I love Ron's notes on each character. I learn so much. Thanks again for all the hard work.
