Hmm. It would appear this Baldor has a good deal to learn both of the untrustworthiness of the Variags and about the true nature of Elves.

So - shark for dinner - but no hákarl? (That would certainly have put curl into the chest hairs of the guests. Though that dish takes 6-12 weeks to ... ahem, prepare.) So this chapter, and the next, describes the food, some fashion choices, and the incompareble perfection of Elves, especially Thranduil. And Bad Guys are planning stuff.

Interesting story. Imrahil certainly knows how to throw a party! I hope that Faramir will eventually make an appearance in the narrative; but I like how you have presented Thranduil.

I am so excited to find this story! There is a serious lack of good Thranduil-visits-Gondor stories and I always love reading them. The plot sounds intriguing - unrest at the elves living in the city is not an idea I have read much about. This Baldor sounds suitably vile to be presumably the villain of the piece. I would love to know more about what rumours he has been bandying around. I will eagerly await a new chapter! :)

It'll be interesting to see where this story goes. Your stories haven't disappointed me yet, and I'm sure this one won't either! The plot looks like it'll be a lively one, though I think I'll need to make myself a cheatsheet to keep up with all these characters. It's been a while since I read Lord of the Rings, and I juuuust barely remember who Imrahil is ;)

Well, I have to agree with Imrahil here...those elves are incredible ;) It's fun to see our beloved Thranduil and Legolas from the point of view of someone who isn't very familiar with elves.
