Love the beginning...I haven't read P & P but I am still a big fan of it through the A & E production, and several plays. Most recently watched Lost in Austen which was so much fun. I didn't know that Aragorn and Mr. Darcy had something in common... :)
Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Caught by romance in spite of himself! Yes, he's in need of a wife after all!

Great vignette. I think Aragorn's reaction to being told who he really is rings very true. I liked very much the idea of him seeing Arwen exactly when deciding he had no need for a wife.

Now this is how Aragorn would be reacting after hearing the news Elrond gave him. Proud and determined to live up to what he had learned. Best depiction of his reaction that I have ever read.
Coupling that with his emotions upon seeing Arwen? Brilliant. This may be your best short story yet. I loved it!

"What more could any man need?"
*giggles* Poor Aragorn, a big surprise is waiting for him. :)
