Bravo! Bravo!! Take your bow, Myst! A sweet and lovely ending!! Gosh darn it--NOW they're finally expecting. Now I'm dying to read Far and Away! See you then! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent. :-) Pippinfan
PIppinfan1988 · 2 October 2004 · Chapter 42: Chapter Forty-two
This is cool--Linwe and Frodo never thinking to ask Elrond *why* he forbade her to accompany Frodo... Do they confront him? Does Frodo? Onto the last chapter... Pippinfan
PIppinfan1988 · 2 October 2004 · Chapter 41: Chapter Forty-one
This is so sad!!!! It's a bittersweet decision I have to make: do I go on for more angst punishment, or do I stop? NOT! I must go on. I'm hooked! (sniff) Pippinfan
PIppinfan1988 · 25 September 2004 · Chapter 40: Chapter Forty
oy...I'm on the edge of my seat. I still don't think I like the idea of Frodo leaving Linwe behind... I know! Linwe could be a stow away--like Isengar! She could hide among the crates of food in the lower holds of Cirdan's ship. No one would have to know...I wouldn't tell a soul. ;-) Pippinfan
PIppinfan1988 · 25 September 2004 · Chapter 39: Chapter Thrity-Nine
You are such an artist! Drawing, weaving words together...absolutely talented, you are. A beautiful chapter, Myst. :-) "She had spoken to Frodo so bravely of being content for what ever time she could have with him, even if only a day. It was easy to be brave when she did not understand the depth of the sacrifice." - MW Isn't that so true? We never think of the consequences of our impetuous actions until it's behind us. They say hinde-sight is 20/20. And the "memorizing"...lovely. Pippin's doing a bit of "memorizing" in an unnamed story...but that is for another time. The conversation in the shed between Sam, Merry, and Pippin was delightfully lighthearted--something I definitely enjoy after all the dramas I've been reading and writing lately! Thanks for sharing. :-) Pippinfan

I haven't often read and responded here, or at ff.net, as I have read nearly all of this during various stages of its being written and made my comments then. We have laughed and cried and argued together while this story was birthed and raised to maturity. It is a fine, wonderful, heartfelt story; giving Frodo a chance at happiness with a true love that Tolkien denied him. I am looking foreward to both of your further stories of Frodo and Linwe. This has been a great and worthwhile effort, congratulations on its completion.

There is still a chance of a wee Frodo yet! They have all of the summer to make another baby... I think I have a bit of futuristic scenario in my head, but as I've been wrong before, I'll keep it to myself this time! :-) Pippinfan

Oy...you're killing me, Myst! You're going to tear my heart out with this story, aren't you??? I guess I had it coming... :'( Pippinfan

Oh no, I wish Frodo wouldn't leave! or at least Linwe be allowed to go with him. I tore my way through this story in two days, and now you've updated...yay! This story is enjoyable, though sad as well. I like the way Linwe and Frodo are connected. I was wondering, if he dies, would she? Hmmm. Please keep writing :)

WOOHOO!!! You liked it so much you plowed through it. That is what I did when I read LOTR the first time. I am really honored. :):):) I have just signed on to post chapter 42. Tomarrow, September 22nd, in honor of Frodo and Linwe's birthday, I will be posting chapter forty-three, the last final chapter of this story. Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to tell me how much you are enjoying it. That means so much to me. MysteriousWays

Awesome chapter, Myst!!!! I started reading this yesterday when my AOL cut out on me...downloading a spyware deterrent. I loved this line: "Rosie, if Sam, Pippin, and I, respected Frodo’s silence whenever it was obvious that he was hiding something from us, Frodo would have died, alone, on the road to Bree, and all of Middle Earth would be under a cloud of evil so vile as to make the occupation look like a Lithe Day picnic." -MW Wow...that little debate at the end was a perfect cliff-hanging ending! Fantastic. On to the next one... Pippinfan

I've just stopped by for a short feedback, since I have no time to leave a proper review from chapter to chapter, but I want you to know that you have one more reader who waits for and reads every chapter of your story with great delight and increasing curiosity!

Well, looks like I was WAY off, indeed! I hope Linwe listens the next time her husband and friends advise her on her own well-being. I'll be back to coninue on... Pippinfan

"I am not sure but I would imagine it would be one or the other." replied Frodo. - MW Hehehehe...gosh, do ya think it's a 50-50 chance??? :-) That was cute! Hmmm....what could these nightmares portend?? My guess is that Linwe is pregnant....and that Frodo's nightmares are like a "sympathetic" thing... Probably WAY off, but I'm waiting on the blessed event. For as much as they..."do things"...! :-o :-) Pippinfan

Awesome! I love the parallels between these two...so made for each other, they are. Yes, doctors and nurses are the worst patients, and are the last to seek prompt medical attention...go figure. :-) Take care. Pippinfan

Hello Myst! *Finally* getting around to catching up on my reading! The house in on the market, and things are looking rather good. :-) Onto reviewing! This was a sweet chapter--showing Linwe and Frodo settling into married life...and each other. I was wondering how you were going to deal with Frodo's recurring pains and illnesses. Wonderfully done! When are they going to be "blessed", for pete's sake??? I would say something, but I'll keep the public boards clean... :-P My apologies for not getting this review to you sooner, but the week leading up to Labor Day and that very weekend was tight. Thank you for giving me the space and your kind support--a true friend, indeed. Thanks! Pippinfan

Oh, wow, my heart was in my throat for that last part. Whew. I really like seeing what's going on in the shire, seeing how all the bad things are beginning. Esmeralda is a remarkable hobbit. Today was fun. I also had fun when I got home and my friend took me on a motorcycle ride. That was so cool. However there was no sparkle dust. That's ok. He's going to Rolla next weekend anyway and I'm fine with him staying a good friend. Ciao

Hi there! Sorry I have taken so long to get back to you on this. It has been a busy week and I am easily distracted... LOOK Butterflies! For a really fantastic story onwhat is happening in the Shire, during the quest, go read Pear Took's "While We Dwelt in Fear". I think you will really love that one. I read over the eleventh chapter. As always I found several things that I want or need to change. I guess there is no such things as the perfectly written story, at least not from the authors point of veiw. Still I like it myself. I am glad you did. I am thrilled that you like Esme (Esmeralda) so much. I am typing this up at 10:37 a.m. Saturday morning. You are most likely at fencing. I obviously am not. I had to stay home and be a parent today. heehee. Email me. mysteriousways1970@yahoo.com Mys ;)

This is such a sweet story. I will admit, I don't usually read hobbit stories, but I will definitely finish this. You don't usually read about relationships forming between femals elves and hobbits. I agree, it would take an especially remarkable hobbit lass to win Frodo's heart. And I also agree with you: the true ending of ROTK is much too sad for Frodo. I was a little iffy about the elves needing to develope techniques for healty elflings, but I'll go with it. See you Sat, my dear fellow fencer. I'm going to try to remember to bring my scrapbook to show you.

You cought me on what I hope is the one possible improbabiltiy of this entire story. The matter of Elves needing to insure the health of their unborn is taking advantage of the limits of their immortality. They can die in battle or of a broken heart but they have never known illness. Elves still need to eat and to rest as well. Their bodies still need to be nurtured and that is the loop hole I am playing with. Maybe if left to their own devices the unborn Elf would still emerge perfectly fine. I have often wondered why Elves would need to know all that much of healing, but then I remember that they can be injured and now that I come to think of it they have kept farily close to ties with Aragorn's long lived people. Maybe I could go back and rewrite something to the nature of Elves learning something of reproduction from their friends of the west. I am looking forward to fencing and to seeing your scrapbook. :) MysteriousWays- Dance as if no one were watching.

Frodo sure knows how to sweep a lady off her feet doesn't he? Chocolate, a bath, and a picnic complete with...! Are they ever going to be blessed with a baby??? Lovely chapter and great writing! Pippinfan
PIppinfan1988 · 16 June 2004 · Chapter 28: Chapter Twenty-eight
Rumors were flying all over the Shire as to the reasoning behind it, most of those were brought to an end by Linwe’s figure staying slender. - Myst Go figure! It never fails--"she must be pregnant!" Dramatics--just like a Took! It must be in their blood! Very nice reception--and lovely retrospect of how happy Frodo and Linwe are...and just *when* will they be blessed??? ;-) Lovely chapter, Myst! Take care. Pippinfan
PIppinfan1988 · 16 June 2004 · Chapter 28: Chapter Twenty-eight
Hello, Myst!! I made it! However...I have to leave to get my hair whacked, but this gives me the opportunity to leave you not one, but TWO reviews! I've only gotten as far as Sam's thoughts about Linwe and Frodo as a couple at Bag End. I can't help but love your Linwe--and her together with Frodo? I love seeing Frodo--both of them so happy! I'll finish this when I get back. Take care. Pippinfan
PIppinfan1988 · 13 June 2004 · Chapter 27: Chapter Twenty-seven
Myst, my dear, you are a true poet and artist. You paint a beautiful picture of not two loving people, but two passionate hobbits completely in love with each other. Your words draw me into the story like a moth to a flame. The scene at the spring was beautiful. I am sad each time the chapter ends. So lovely. Pippinfan
PIppinfan1988 · 8 June 2004 · Chapter 26: Chapter Twenty-six
Wicker hampers were relieved of their burdens - MW Hehehe. Just like hobbits! Her gown "glowing like a moonbeam"--so beautiful! Frodo thought he could spend a lifetime kissing her just to learn how to describe them. - MW That is soooo romantic! Awwww! So cute! Linwe fell asleep. So did I--on my wedding night! When your folks are out of state (or deceased in Linwe's case), the Bride sometimes has to do things all on her own. Linwe had friends, but still. Very well done, Myst! Loved this sweet chapter!
