· Chapter 13: a plan is forming
Saeron is pretty young, isn't he? Glad to see that Glorfindel was able to catch up to him and bring him back to Imladris so he could be properly healed. Now to see how Saeron and the Twins fare once they reach Mirkwood, and what all has been happening to everyone else.
Author's reply
oh yes he is and stubborn, yet he will need all his toughness when returning home, I promise! Thank you for a much appreciated review. Lai

Looks as if poor Legolas has a deeper connection to his ada than any suspects. Hope they make it to the clearing safely. Looking forward to more.
Author's reply
I´m a proponent of a loving and caring Thranduil and have ever imagined that Legolas has a special bond to his father. This connection will serve him well soon. More is coming soon. Thank you for reading and reviewing, Fiondil. Lai

I love the whole story idea. It stands to reason that some of the Sindar would be upset when Oropher took over Mirkwood. Good premise.
Looking forward to more.
Author's reply
I was always sure that there had to be some quarrels between Sindar and Silvan elves. Here is their story. Thank you for letting me know your thoughts. Lai

Whoa! The royal family is in dire straits. I've got my fingers crossed there will be a happy ending.... but....

The title seems to be a bit tame.
What a horrendous way for a little tike to wake up. I'm hoping for only the best, but I think not.
Looking forward to reading more.

Hello Agape4Gondor, yes what an awakening indeed. Hope will this time betray you. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. Lai

· Chapter 11: haste makes waste
Wow! Again, you write these elves' characters very well. I can feel Saeron's frustration very well, but also understand the others' point of view. They are all in a real dilemma! Which has probably been Thoran's idea from the beginning, and whoever is controlling him. Great chapters!
Author's reply
I´m so glad that you find my elves believable and that the feeling did come through. I also can feel with Saeronand with the elves trying to help him. What a dilemma indeed. Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It keeps me going. Thank you. Lai

· Chapter 11: haste makes waste
Poor Saeron. I can certainly understand his frustration and anger and Erestor and Galdor are idiots or just too arrogant and full of themselves to understand what Elrond already knows. Hopefully, he and Glorfindel will find a way to help Saeron bring aid to Thranduil and rout Thoran from power.
Author's reply
Elrond will have a hard time to convince others to help, Thranduil was not really an easy going elf in the past. Poor Saeron indeed. Thoran has to be removed, without question. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, Fiondil. It´s much appreciated. Lai

· Chapter 10: shadow and light
Oh dear, Lai! This is just awful. Poor Thranduil. And Thoran is a slimy little toad who would fit right in with Sauron's Mordor crowd. I'm sure it's a trick of some sort on Thoran's part, at least, I hope so. I doubt I'll have any fingernails left before you finish this story. *grin*
Author's reply
Hi Fiondil, I´m so glad the suspense is working, but please keep some fingernails; you will need them before the end. *grin* Poor Thrnaduil indeed and I fear he will be on the receiving endof this mad elf for quite some time. Thank you so much for your appreciated review. Lai

· Chapter 9: disturbing news
And so the plot thickens. Let's hope Liriel is able to get the message to the king and Galadhion is able to get out of the palace and meet with the warriors. But first, he needs to find Liriel's son. And how many other children is Thoran holding hostage? Is he even an Elf? *shakes head in dismay* Good chapter, Lai. Looking forward to more.
Author's reply
Thoran is an elf, sadly, but one of the sort you do not want to cross path with. Thranduil and his family will find out the hard way. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, Fiondil. Lai

You are still keeping the tension up there, very good! The elves' desperation really came through, how helpless they feel, and the suddenness of it all. Poor little elfings! I can't wait to read what happens next!
Author's reply
I´m so glad you find my descriptions believable, BeeGee. Poor elves indeed! They are somewhat overextended with such a situation. The next chapter will be up soon. Thank you so much for reviewing. Lai

· Chapter 8: conspirators
Poor Legolas is just too young to understand why he can't go home, isn't he? And now they have to leave again. Hopefully they will be able to get away in time and I hope little Legolas doesn't pull a temper tantrum at the wrong moment. *grin* Looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks.
Author's reply
and the house of Oropher is known for throwing temper tantrums...*g*. It´s hard for a elfling so young to understand in a world where Ada can still make everything alright. Thank you for your much appreciated review, Fiondil. Lai

· Chapter 7: answers
No, indeed, they are not in any position to counter a revolution, but I'm sure between Glorfindel and Elrond, not to mention the Twins, they'll think of someting to save Thranduil from Thoran and his cronies. And what's happened to Galadhion and Legolas, I wonder? Looking forward to the next chapter, Lai.
Author's reply
Imladris is a good start to ask for help, but I fear this will not be enough. What happened to the other brothers will occur soon in the next chapters. Hope to see you there. Thank you so much for your much appreciated review. Lai

· Chapter 6: found
Well, at least Saeron made it to Imladris, though whether he will live to tell the tale still remains to be seen, I think. Hopefully he will recover enough to tell Elrond what has happened, or maybe Glorfindel will just hie off with the Twins and see for himself. *grin* Looking forward to the next chapter.
Author's reply
yes, Saeron did made it and with Elrond at hand he will be able to tell the tale but what then? Good advice will be dire. Thank you for a much appreciated review, Fiondil! Lai

As a Thranduil fan, I'm really enjoying this story! Your pacing is very good, and that really keeps the suspense flowing. The characterization is excellent also, both Mirkwood and Imladris elves. I'm looking forward to more, please!
Author's reply
BeeGee, you are not knowing how glad I´m for you saying this. Although I´m a Elrond fan I like Thranduil vey much also but was ever reluctant to write about such a powerful character. The suspense is working, then I have done something right. More is coming soon. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. Lai

Ah, the plot thickens. I'm glad Saeron was able to escape. Good of his horse to help defend him against his attackers. But he's sorely wounded. I hope he makes it to Rivendell alive. A gripping chapter, Lai.

to have a war-horse at hand does indeed not hurt but to reach Rivendell will only be the easy part. Thank you, Fiondil for reading and reviewing. Lai

dear galathil, I´m so glad that you are enjoying my story. What Saeron has found we will see soon. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. Lai
Thoran is beyond dangerous. It's obvious he's slipping into madness (if he hasn't done so already). Poor Thranduil. I sincerely hope someone rescues him. Even if they have to smuggle him out of the Stronghold and he has to fight to get it back, at least he'll be fighting instead of at the mercy of a lunatic. Looking forward to more, Lai.
Author's reply
you are right: he´s mad and that makes the fight against him so dangerous. Nothing is predictable. Rescue is not in sight, at least for the time being. More will be coming soon. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, Fiondil. Lai
ahhh I really want to hit Thoran right now! Did legolas get out all right and what happened to the other brothers? Please I beg you, the suspense is killing me! Update soon!!
Author's reply
you are not the only one who wants to hit Thoran. I´ve many offers right now, including me! We will soon see what happened to the King´s sons. Glad the suspense is working - *evil grin*. Thank you so much for your review. It´s much appreciated. Lai

And both the plot and the suspense deepens. Looking forward to more, Lai. I sincerely hope Thoran will be getting a little chat from Lord Námo in the end. If anyone deserves a little 'sit-down' with the Lord of Mandos, it's he. LOL!
Author's reply
Hi Fiondil, I´m still wondering what will happen to Thoran in the end but a sit-in with Lord Namo is a pretty well idea. We will see,but until then it´s a long way to go especially for Thranduil. Thank you so much for your thoughts. Lai
