· Chapter 19: Stubborn and Stubboner
I can appreciate why Elrond is laughing at the same time he is deeply worried. At least they have the abcess drained. But it is so wearily worrying not to appreciate why those we love and care about don't grow better!

Elrond is not to be envied to have to deal with such patients!
So I found it very nice of Gandalf to make him laugh with his joking.
Should either patient awaken while Elrond was conducting the procedure there would be a war to rival the second age.
Now that makes me curious! Will it come to that "procedure"? Is it *that* embarrassing?

Glad to see another chapter up! Who could endure such a cry of pain and not want to respond? And Aragorn has known Frodo far less time than anyone else except the elves and still wants to imperil his own health to aid his friend - another sign of the great and loving king he will become. Love Frodo too. :) Please don't delay too long in continuing!
Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

I don't know who is worse Aragorn or Frodo. They are a stubborn pair. Let's just hope that Elrond can fix Frodo's shoulder. It is about time that they both heal.
Author's reply
I love how stubborn they both are. No worries about the shoulder tho'...Frodo at least is on the mend.

Oh my! Aragorn is as stubborn as Frodo! He could have injured himself very badly, again.
Let's hope that Frodo's shoulder will get better after Elrond's treatment. Of course I understand that Frodo doesn't want to get drugged, but it is better than the pain he would feel otherwise.
Author's reply
The drugs didn't seem to work all that well, did they? The hobbit is on the mend...Aragorn? Well, we'll see...

Poor Frodo--drugged again! He does get this done to him with frustrating regularity! But when he awakens hopefully the swelling will be down and the pai far less.
Author's reply
I do love to torture my heros but then all works out in the end.

Looks like Elrohir won that bet.
Poor Frodo and poor Aragorn. But most of all, poor Elrond for having two such stubborn patients at the same time!
Author's reply
Amen! I'm glad you're enjoying the fic. I hope to update sooner this next time.

· Chapter 17: Patience with Patients
I understand that Aragorn is a stubborn patient and not the most patient one, but this is a bit much. He cannot sit on his own, but wants to tend to Frodo? If it would be one of his patients, I think, he would have something to say about foolish behavior like that.

· Chapter 16: Trapped in a Dark World
Luckily for Frodo, Glorfindel came by and they could get him to remove the ring before more harm was done. I loved the scene where the hobbits took care of Aragorn. That must have felt good that they could do something to help and it seemed to work.

Oh no, hallucinating hobbit and a ring of power. Bad combination. With Aragorn and Frodo both hallucinating, it will be interesting. I hope Rivendell survives. Elrond should have listened to his inner voice.

Hallucinations don't sound so good. But at least they are in Rivendell and not on the road. This healer seems to be interesting. I'm as curious as Gandalf about him.

It seems they can't get a break. This lousy weather should stop. Even Elrond needs to sleep sometimes. When Aragorn and Frodo are deathly sick, he will not be able to help them if he is exhausted.

Poor Elrond. First Aragorn, then Frodo. It seems nobody listens to him. Being sick is not making things easier. Especially Frodo is very stubborn.

If Aragorn knew all the other things the hobbits assisted him with... ;-)
Content that Frodo was now as comfortable as possible

Looking forward to more.

“All right then…er…Mr. Elves, sirs,”
LOL! Good old Sam, always trying to be "proper"!
I'm right glad that Frodo was found in time and I hope that Elrond's treatment will help him, although it will be a very rough treatment, I fear.
There is no doubt that Aragorn is best taken care of, with so many hobbits around :-)
Author's reply
Hobbits are made to tend for others they're so tender and caring, don't you think? Thanks for your review and for reading!

I had a nice review all written and the computer ate it. Will try again.
I'm glad Glorfindel was about and that he glowed so that Frodo could find safety by him. Nice touch.
I love Frodo's loyalty no matter how ill he felt himself.
The other Hobbits scurrying about brought a bit of lightness to an otherwise difficult chapter.
The bath scene was hilarious. I could just see the amusement in the attending elves eyes.
However, I am disappointed with Elrond. How he could let his son be there for so long without a bath, I can't fathom it. Good thing their is Hobbit sensibilities in Imladris!

Hi there!! I have that happen all the time, usually after spending 15 minutes explaining my thoughts only to have it disappear. It's the thought that counts and thank you so much for reading and reviewing.

This is a most suspenseful part to leave us hanging, hopefully not for long. This should be an interesting next chapter for sure as both will be hallucinating. Dear me, dear me. You are so right in previous chapters about being under the loving and nurturing care of hobbits.

I won't be home until end of May. I'm in Ireland seeing the sites. So give me a couple of weeks into June and I should have something for you. Glad you're enjoying the story!
