This is too funny! Poor men, I don't think this was quite what Aragorn had in mind for proving his love, or what Faramir had in mind when he set that bet...

Poor Pippin- he did *try* to get the message right, after all. The botched message made me laugh- especially imagining the looks on some of the court members' faces..

I can sympathize with Arwen. I can't wear gold, either- makes me look sickly, for some reason. I'm interested to see where this story goes, especially as you said it was partly inspired by Pratchett, one of my favorite authors :)

Thank you for a most enjoyable read. This was a wonderful romp that made me smile. If only someone would draw our heroes in their pretty frocks LOL!

I DID guess it! I thought I was being extra-silly. A terrific story, synchronicity at its best! I thank you for letting us read it!

Oh, no! I suspect that he's given her ideas now! Poor Pippin and Merry. And will Rosie somehow fall into this scheme as well?

Larner · 23 October 2011 · Chapter 82

And I suspect that the magpie is wanting recompense for goods lost! Heh!

Larner · 23 October 2011 · Chapter 81

And I hope that Sam brings a copy with him when he sails west!

Larner · 23 October 2011 · Chapter 80

Ah, at least some speculations have proved true! Yes, Gondor is ruled by this woman, or at least its King is! And how wonderful that Khand, as did my Harad, sent their worst elements to fight for Sauron! Heh! Love this turn of events.

Larner · 23 October 2011 · Chapter 79

A creative manner in which to get rid of an unjust law, I must say! Yay, Pippin!

Szepilona10 · 22 October 2011 · Chapter 99999

I enjoyed reading this story! It was fun to come home after school and read the humorous messes the characters got into! God Bless! ~Szepilona10~

Larner · 18 October 2011 · Chapter 78

So, he's going to let the others read what he writes, is he? Good. As for his last comment to Merry, hmmmm.

Larner · 16 October 2011 · Chapter 77

So, the thief has been found, the hairpins rescued, and Aragorn's finally able to let his hair down! Now, to learn how the Khandis has responded to all the tom-foolery of the day.

Larner · 16 October 2011 · Chapter 76

No, it does not do to underestimate a woman--EVER! Heh!

Larner · 16 October 2011 · Chapter 75

Hooray! At least they have the contents of the nest to sort through now--hopefully the precious hairpins are there!

Larner · 16 October 2011 · Chapter 74

Oh, dear--sanctimonious and duplicitous, side by side! I agree with Sam and Frodo--the White City is all rather nuts this evening!

Lynn H · 15 October 2011 · Chapter 77

And what ARE they going to give that bird as its' promised reward? A basket of costume jewels? They are going to have to remember to check that nest out every month or so in future, too.

Linda Hoyland · 14 October 2011 · Chapter 76

This is a delightfully zany and amusing story.Thank you for making me smile.

AzureSkye · 11 October 2011 · Chapter 75

One smart bird....Pippin's line made me laugh. How would Merry explain Frodo's demise? He was destroying evil jewelry? LOL.

Larner · 10 October 2011 · Chapter 73

Now, THAT was unexpected! Heh! Part of the original plan, or her attempt to put a monkeywrench in Faramir's plan?

Larner · 9 October 2011 · Chapter 72

Now to figure out who slapped Frodo and why, and how to get the hairpins back from the magpie? And the two younger Hobbits managed to fell Aragorn, too? They need the same treatment Frodo got--and deserve it more!

Larner · 9 October 2011 · Chapter 71

Oh, dear--and who has dared lay hands on our beloved Frodo?

Larner · 9 October 2011 · Chapter 70

As good a response as any, I think. Certainly one that helped to lead to a marriage thereafter.

Larner · 9 October 2011 · Chapter 69

And the song goes on! Heh!

Larner · 9 October 2011 · Chapter 68

If anyone can talk sense into Gimli it would have to be Legolas! Heh! Imagining all the confusion and speculation, much of it drunken, as they fled the feast hall!
