Sweet all of em
sassy · 12 November 2012 · Chapter 3
I had some good chuckles about what Legolas and Gimli said. Its good they can tease each other in good humor.
sassy · 12 November 2012 · Chapter 2
I'm starting to wonder if Legolas is now a mortal.
sassy · 12 November 2012 · Chapter 1
I'm really loving this story so far. Hope the two friends will be better again. That was very brave of Legolas to do that for Gimli.
galathil · 16 September 2012 · Chapter 5: CH 5
Thank you for the next chapter in your wonderful story.I am glad that Legolas's arm is doing better. Can't wait for the next chapter.LOL Galathil
Larner · 13 September 2012 · Chapter 5: CH 5
Ah, good. Excellent plans have been made, and all should find themselves happy enough.
Larner · 13 September 2012 · Chapter 4
And he's obviously all the better for some mothering and the company of children. It's been far too long since elvish children were born freely within Middle Earth, after all.
Larner · 13 September 2012 · Chapter 3
Well, he is obviously recovering. Well handled, Gimli.
Larner · 13 September 2012 · Chapter 2
Excellent evaluation of what's most likely happened. Trust one of the Fellowship to push himself to and perhaps past his limits.
Larner · 13 September 2012 · Chapter 1
The two of them were fortunate to make it this far. May have reviewed this already, for I remember reading at least part of it. Will be catching up now.

I am so happy to see this. Chapter 5 is splendid; it's nice to see Gimli's extended family. Please do continue. This is a good story. Thanks for writing.
rick · 29 December 2011 · Chapter 4
This is just as good this time as the last time I read it. I am really looking forward to the rest of the story, please do continue. Thanks for writing and Happy New Year!
Robinscat · 7 May 2011 · Chapter 4
I was throughly charmed by this chapter. Gimli's Mam was perfect, and the little dwarflings were too cute. The interaction between Gimli and Legolas was sweet, full of warm and fuzzies. I cant' wait for the next chapter.
daw the minstrel · 20 April 2011 · Chapter 4
It seemed so appropriate for Gimli's father to call his mother "my gem." It's such a Dwarvish endearment. But I love the idea of the little girl putting gems in Gimli's hair! LOLOL
Larner · 24 February 2011 · Chapter 3
I love the care Legolas is receiving, and the gentle bickering between him and Gimli. And I thoroughly love Gimli's family as you show them!
Larner · 24 February 2011 · Chapter 2
So, Legolas has some healing power of his own, eh? Excellent. Now, to see him forced to rest and recover as best he can. And he does have the best aid possible for the moment, at least. Now--to see him waken eventually, after a good, deep healing sleep.
Larner · 24 February 2011 · Chapter 1
I'm so glad neither of them was alone, and that they were so close to the entrance to Erebor. Now, to see Legolas warmed and cosseted!
Rick · 17 February 2011 · Chapter 3
G&L in trouble again - why am I not surprised? This is a good story & great fun. Please do continue. Thanks!
daw the minstrel · 16 February 2011 · Chapter 3
Good to see Legolas recovering. And you've done such a nice job of capturing Gimil's character in his speech.
Beverly · 7 February 2011 · Chapter 2
I'm loving your new story. As was mentioned before, it's not often that we see Dwarfs as main characters who are dealing out the healing and comfort. I'm also intrigued about Legolas's condition. It almost seems as if he had provided healing for Gimli and in turn weakened himself to near death. Can't wait to read the next chapter. I'm sure Gimli will get to the bottom of what's going on with the Elf. Peace. Beverly
daw the minstrel · 6 February 2011 · Chapter 2
Great start to this story. You don't see too many stories with dwarves as the main characters, and these are characterized really strongly. Legolas is too, despite being out cold for much of the story. I like the backstory of the sons of Elrond making Legolas sleep after the Black Gate. Really, there are lovely details in here throughout that make the world feel real.

Thank you very much! It's been a long dry spell, but I finally feel like my muse has returned.
Darkover · 4 February 2011 · Chapter 2
Dear Sheraiah: This is great! Both Legolas and Gimli seem completely in-character, the Dwarves sound and behave as I have always imagined they would, and the plot tension is very well written in that no one seems to know how to help a sick and wounded Elf. Fantasy story or not, it strikes me as realistic that none of the Dwarves would know much about how to treat sick Elves, as by this Age, it would have been a long time before the two races had much contact with each other. And what limited contact they would have had would probably not have been positive--for example, the contact between Thorin Oakenshield's people and King Thranduil in "The Hobbit." There is opportunity for h/c here, and I hope you will develop that. I am also interested in what will happen next, which is a sure sign that a writer is doing a good job! Please post the next chapter soon. Take care! Sincerely, Darkover

Thanks! Although I think that relations between the Dwarves of Erebor and the Elves of Mirkwood improved after the Battle of Five Armies somewhat, they probably were at least still a bit wary of each other. Chapter 3 will be up in a few days.
curiouswombat · 4 February 2011 · Chapter 2
What an excellent start. I do like the way you have written the relationship between Legolas and Gimli through both these opening chapters. What an excellent contrast between Legolas in the snow and then ice-cold, almost abandoned by the dwarf sentries, in chapter two. I am already very taken with Gimli's kith and kin, too. I am really looking forward to the next chapter.

Thank you! Of all Gimli's kin, Naris speak the loudest to me. She features heavily in Chapter 3, which will be up in a few days.
Jay of Lasgalen · 4 February 2011 · Chapter 2
Oh dear, things really aren't going well. You show the dwarf healer and carers very well in their concern and confusion about *how* to treat an elf. Despite the seriousness of this chapter, my favourite line is this one: “Naw, he doesn't weigh more than a feather, but he's all bloody legs,” LOL!!

Thanks! Boys of any race will be boys, it seems to me.
