Wonderful! Definitely a keeper! Love Huan's decision to go forth as a hound, and in the end to return to the Master who had lost himself, but who hopefully within Mandos will find himself once more.

Thank you so much. I always loathed Celegorm and so I found it hard to try to show him in a sympathetic light in this story (at least in the beginning); but I tried to think about how Huan would have seen him, and that helped. I too hope that he will be healed from his darkness, and maybe Huan will eventually help him do that.

when a dog has done his duty for love, why should he mourn?
What a beautiful story and gap-filler; worthy of a place in the Professor's tale.

This is insightful and just rings true on so many levels. Thank you for writing this about characters that I know and love. It has added to an already rich body of writing and given another dimension for reflection. Very well done!

Thank you! Huan has always been one of my favourite characters and I feel he often gets overlooked for the greater heroes like Beren or Luthien. But he no less deserves praise and attention for his deeds!
