Thanks, Lynda. I'll be starting chapter 2 this weekend. I'm really looking forward to Sam finding out what's being planned for him... and how it will be accomplished.

Oooh, I love this idea!! And who's to say this couldn't have happened? This is the kind of AU I like... the "it *could* have happened this way" story. I love the banter between Frodo and Gandalf, and Frodo's barrage of questions about how in the world this will be arranged. I'm a bit disappointed that Sam will be asleep for the trip, though... that would have been something, to have seen Earendil through Sam's eyes. Ah well, that's of little import, really, because I'm sure this will be a humdinger of a tale. Looking forward to more!

It *could* have happened, sure enough! It's fun to imagine this scenario, and I'm trying to make all the "arrangements" as logical as possible. Thank you so much for the enthusiasm. :)
