Dang! I wish I could have entered this for the challenge, but it's the wrong part of the legendarium. Ah, well. Besides, they don't have winners there - the point is to take part.

A very aptly named story, conveying exactly the feelings the title alludes to. Erestor's words at the end, with their down-to-earth wisdom, are maybe the most touchign part of the whole fic.

This was inspired by the challenge on SWG: it's what came to mind when I saw the prompt. Obviously, I couldn't enter it, so I posted it here and on ff.net giving credit where it was due for the inspiration.
