I finally had a chance to finish this as I'd been out of town when you posted it. It was a wonderful tale and I really liked how you tied your stories together with Lotheriel's eyes and her heritage, etc. That was a nice touch and a neat way to explain her abilities! Thanks so much for writing and sharing your stories, I really appreciate it!

Author's reply

Hi Radbrooks, Thank you for reading. I really enjoyed the challenge of writing the action in this one, as well as the weaving of the threads together. LBJ

thomsaxe · 12 July 2010 · Chapter 15: Chapter 15

excellent has helped flesh out Thorongil for me and also brought the heroes of the black gate, the attack on gondor to life for me, please write more, perhaps on the relationship with Eomer and his wife who i believe came from the same family?

So, a nice transition back to the future, knowing both suits were successful, if the time together was short in each case. And Aragorn admits he was somewhat hopeful that something would come of the meeting between Imrahil and Aerin! Love it all!

Author's reply

Well, they had a good few years and Imrahil managed four children LOL. And I just enjoyed giving Aragorn a hand in it. Thanks a lot for reviewing.LBJ

whitewave · 22 June 2010 · Chapter 14: Chapter 14

Enjoyed this chapter a lot--let's see where to start. I liked the scene with Finduilias--she gets so little coverage, as far as I can tell--and it's great to read about her when she was still alive. I kind of feel sorry for Imrahil here--it's obvious how very hopelessly smitten he is and even if I wasn't already rooting for him, I would have after reading this chapter. I'm now wondering just exactly what Aerin "saw" or sensed in Imrahil to warrant her hostility/coldness--since she is fay, she must have seen or sensed something.

Author's reply

Well, that will come out in the next chapter. More of an assumption than anything else. Glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks a lot for reviewing. LBJ

I do believe that with Lady Cuthwith on his side he has an excellent chance! Now--to see the hunt proceed! Heh!

Author's reply

I thought he needed a little help, as he was making such a mull of it. Thanks a lot for reviewing.LBJ

Larner · 20 June 2010 · Chapter 13: Chapter 13

He'd best admit to himself that he is truly smitten! Heh!

Author's reply

It takes a little longer yet! LBJ

whitewave · 13 June 2010 · Chapter 13: Chapter 13

Great first "date". Imrahil is really smitten with her.

Author's reply

Hi Whitewave, thanks for the reviews -glad you have caught up with the story and are still enjoying it.LBJ

whitewave · 13 June 2010 · Chapter 11: Chapter 11

And the adventure begins! I like their chemistry already and what an exotic ancestress you made for Aerin, and by extension, to Lothiriel.

whitewave · 13 June 2010 · Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Enjoyed the scenes with Imrahil and Aerin very much and am very excited as to how he will woo her.

UTfrog · 7 June 2010 · Chapter 13: Chapter 13

Great chapter! I am so glad she pushed him away hard. He most certainly deserved it.

Author's reply

Poor chap - he meant well, just a little eager. Thanks a lot for reviewing. LBJ

Larner · 4 June 2010 · Chapter 12: Chapter 12

I've been reading this all week and have now gotten to the latest chapter and WOW!! This is such an amazing and well written tale. I've loved every chapter and now can't wait for the next installment. If the reason Aearin's furious w/Imrahil is the reason I'm thinking of, then she's going to have an equally furious Prince of Dol Amroth on her hands once he finds out. But not furious w/her, everyone else who are weaving their webs OTOH... Can't wait to find out what happens next. This is just a fantastic story M'dear!! :oD

Larner · 13 April 2010 · Chapter 11: Chapter 11

And how on earth is it HIS fault? I'm as perplexed as is he! And another soldier of Gondor is now in love with Sadwa's descendant!

And so we learn more of the circumstances of both ladies, and of those in which Oriel grew up as well. Poor Mirineth does seem most uncomfortable here. A country girl at heart! As for the harpy--she's no better than she should be, I'll guess!

Author's reply

Yes, a country girl - it must be the Rohirric ancestry, even though it missed her father. Thanks a lot for reviewing. LBJ

utfrog · 29 March 2010 · Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Another excellent chapter. I am glad to have an update on Lady Oriel. I am so glad they are speaking up for her. I also enjoy both the ladies and hope they each find happiness.

Author's reply

LOL _ there are so many ladies around I will have to find them all true love! Thanks a lot for reviewing, LBJ

Casso · 29 March 2010 · Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Ah yes, the old cold shoulder routine. It will be interesting when Thorongil comes up in their conversation, if they get to have a proper convesation. Which I assume they will, sometime. And no doubt Sergion will have information for Imrahil, after all he spent the whole evening chatting to the lady. I always enjoy your stories so very much. Its a real treat when another chapter pops up in my inbox. Casso

Author's reply

Well, Imrahil can;t have it all his own way! And there will be conversations - although whether they go the way he would like remains to be seen. Thanks a lot for commenting LBJ.

Larner · 20 March 2010 · Chapter 9: Chapter 9

The candlestick does indeed sound a horror, and the fear in the lady's eyes sounds serious. Now to see how he likes Aerin--and what revelations there are to appreciate.

Author's reply

I think he's only used to seeing fear in the eyes of his enemies, not pretty ladies LOL! Thanks a lot for reviewing.LBJ

Larner · 7 March 2010 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

I'm glad to see some thawing of relations here, and Imrahil beginning to realize there is more to this man than there seems. Now, to see how he like the companion! Heh!

Author's reply

The Companion? You think she's important do you? LOL Thanks a lot for reviewing. LBJ

Casso · 5 March 2010 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

Alas, such a long time to wait as so many fates to unfold before Imrahil sees Thorongil again and the mystery is resolved. Nevertheless, I am very much looking forward to rest of this story and any thing else you care to write for us. Thankyou Lady Bluejay.

Author's reply

Yes, the after a short visit to the Pelennor the story will move in a different direction - hope you enjoy. Thanks for your nice comments. LBJ

Matt · 27 February 2010 · Chapter 7: Chapter 7

You've done a great job with this story so far--I'very much looking forward to seeing how you manage Thorongil's departure and Imrahil's courtship. Your action scenes seem well written to me and, to the best of my somewhat limited knowledge, pretty reasonable for the kind of warfare you're aiming to describe. Thanks so much for your efforts--I look forward to more of this story soon. Matt

Author's reply

Thanks for your comments. Glad the fighting does sound a bit authentic - its always difficult to get it completely accurate when we are looking from the C21. Glad you are enjoying. LBJ

Episcopal Witch · 23 February 2010 · Chapter 7: Chapter 7

Excellent adventure! I can picture all the action; this chapter was like watching one of those great old swashbucklers like "The Sea Hawk." Geez, couldn't Thorongil have been a *little* less obscure, instead of "other tasks call me," something like, "I have responsibilities back home and the time has come that I must attend to them"? Probably not.... I'm very intrigued by Oriel.

Author's reply

Glad you are enjoying the adventure, it is my first real foray into this genre. I took the - 'other tasks call me' - straight from JRRT, as it was the one of the few bits about this story we had info on. LBJ

utfrog · 23 February 2010 · Chapter 7: Chapter 7

Great update. Hope you are feeling better.

Author's reply

Better than I was thanks- the update will come, but I am slower than usual, I'm afraid.LBJ
