"...and I’ll wager my lad is worthy of the honour.” “No doubt you do, being that he is your lad." Haha. Despite their uncertainty, I'm sure Gandalf would be pleased with his namesake, with or without the resemblance. Overall, very cute. I really enjoyed the bit of Merry and Pippin banter.

Brilliant! Only Pippin would have the nerve to do something like that. LOL Oh, I adore this and I hope it is the start of many more. I like that Pippin didn't fully explain the name to Diamond. I wonder what she will say if she finds out? Wonderful as always. I have so missed your stories. Ellis really does have such intelligent eyes. He looks as if he knows exactly what is going on already. His older brothers may have their hands full with this one. : )

This is just delightful-- and you had me fooled right up to the last sentence, I thought we were looking at wee Faramir-- only to find out he's got a younger brother! Wonderful! And yes, it's a very grand name and it *does* have a slightly Tookish sound to it, if one doesn't know the original! I'm so glad to see you back! (((huge hugs)))
