shirebound · 14 September 2009 · Chapter 6
Oh good, I was hoping Yew would be in on any of the decision making concerning him!
Larner · 9 September 2009 · Chapter 5
Ah--a missing dragon egg? How did they get such a thing? And now three know Yew's secret! Most intriguing!
Author's reply
Hi Larner! Another person wondering where the Dwarves got that egg. If they tell me, I will pass the story along, but right now, I'm having enough of a time finishing this story. LOL I'm glad you're finding this intriguing. :-)
Andrea · 9 September 2009 · Chapter 5
"Only real dragon be The Green Dragon in Hobbiton, but it only spouts ale and pipe smoke!" LOL!!! I like it that you put in the old joke! So, what will they do with the little dragon? Or will they ask for Yew's opinion? Just look at the name of one reviewer here. That's what came into my mind first when I read that the egg was lost: Saphira ;-)
Author's reply
Glad you noticed, Andrea! :-) I just couldn't resist. They will include Yew in the discussion, I do know that much.
Saphira · 9 September 2009 · Chapter 5
Ah, now they all know what's going on... I wonder what Paladin and his family will do about Yew? or will the dwarves find out where the missing egg got and claim Yew back? I hope not, though...
Author's reply
That's an interesting thought . . . Yes, what to do now will be an interesting matter. Thank you for commenting, Saphira! :-)
shirebound · 8 September 2009 · Chapter 5
Pippin is such a compassionate and honest lad. And now his parents truly do have a complicated situation to sort out. What a fun story.
Author's reply
He'll have trouble letting Yew go, I'm thinking. Yes, how do you get a dragon to leave without offending him? So glad you are enjoying this, shirebound! :-)
Saphira · 5 September 2009 · Chapter 4
Finally, I came across this marvellous little piece of Fiction, and I have to say W-o-W! Until now, even I didn't suspect Yew to be a real dragon! What a surprise! But won't it be a hard time for Pip in the end, letting his little "pet" go? Because he can't keep Yew forever, that's for sure! Poor lad... I hope you can keep up this Fic, because it's truly wonderul and I'd like to read more about Pip and Yew soon! Greets, Saphira
Author's reply
Welcome Saphria. :-) I will see it through although I'm not quite sure of how it's going to end yet. Yes, letting a pet go is always a hard thing, but Pip has a loving family to help him. I'm so glad you are enjoying it and thank you for commenting. :-) Pearl
Andrea · 3 September 2009 · Chapter 4
"Dragon!" he gasped. Finally he figured it out. Clever lad! But unlike us readers, Pippin is the only one at his home who knows that Yew actually is a dragon. This is going to be very funny, especially when Yew decides to breathe fire again ;-)
Author's reply
An interesting time will be had by all I'm sure as they find out about Pippin's wee lizard. Glad you're enjoying this, Andrea. :-)
Larner · 2 September 2009 · Chapter 4
The little trickster! And Pippin got it right, too! Of course! Wonderful! As for Pervinca--that was MEAN! Poor Yew--a collar and a harness--now that is double mean!
Author's reply
Yes, Pip eventually figured it out. It was all those adventure tales he loves. Vinca is a handful, very much the "finders keepers" type. She just figured you collar and leash a dog, why not a lizard? Thank you, Larner! :-)
6336 · 2 September 2009 · Chapter 4
Ah ha, something tells me Pippin is not going to be very happy very soon and that a certain little dragon is going for a long trip, far away from the Shire! Lynda
Author's reply
I'm not sure quite how this will end, but I do fear Pip won't be able to keep Yew for long. Thank you, Lynda! :-)
shirebound · 2 September 2009 · Chapter 4
"You are usually so talkative, Pippin. Say something." "Y . . . Yew?" "You said that before. Say something else." Just when I thought this story couldn't get more adorable! :)
Author's reply
aw *blushing* Thank you :-)
Larner · 1 September 2009 · Chapter 3
And when they search Yew's cage and the cave, what are they likely to find? Now it is definitely becoming MOST interesting with this tiny dragonette in the family! Heh!
Author's reply
I think they'll be surprised. He is causing a stir. Thank you, Larner! :-)
Andrea · 1 September 2009 · Chapter 3
A very unusual "lizard"! And Yew loves all sorts of shiny objects, it seems. "Yew likes it. His eye lids droop, but don't close, and he sits and listens. When there's a really exciting part, he sways back and forth." LOL!!! I would love to see that :-)
Author's reply
Yes, he is rather different, for a lizard. He looks adorable when it's story time. Thank you, Andrea! :-)
6336 · 1 September 2009 · Chapter 3
A mini hoard for a mini dragon! Hope Pip will not be too unhappy when he finds out! Lynda
Author's reply
We'll see soon, I hope! Thank you, Lynda. :-)
Pip4 · 31 August 2009 · Chapter 3
Yew's a dragon isn't he? Whatever he is, it's a fun story so far. Looking forward to the next chapter
Author's reply
Thank you, Pip4. It should be up soon. Glad you're enjoying it. :-)
shirebound · 31 August 2009 · Chapter 3
This story really makes me smile. I think Pippin has been adopted by a very special.... no, I won't say! Yew is a wonderful new character. :)
Author's reply
I'm happy to bring you a smile. Yes, he has. ;-) Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying him.
Andrea · 26 August 2009 · Chapter 2
Now, that's an unusual lizard! I liked it that (nearly) all of Pippin's family accepted the little critter as Pippin's new pet. And I'm looking forward to reading more. If I didn't know better I'd say that Vinca makes a fine lad ;-)
Author's reply
Thank you, Andrea. :-) Yes, Yew is a different sort, that's for sure. My Vinca always have been a bit of a tom-boy. LOL
