Very nice~! I had never thought of Glorfindel and Gandalf being that close, but I suppose they were. Your prose is like poetry.

Somehow I missed this story before. I had never thought of the parallel between Glorfindel and Gandalf but it makes sense. I think that Tolkien often uses the device of having things in the first or second age presage those in the third.
