GamgeeFest · 22 July 2009 · Chapter 2: Dancing Sheep

LOL! Pippin certainly does owe Merry a few, and he's gotten him back and then some! This is great! I love Merry's insistance that the sheep were dancing, and his comments to the sheep after the others are gone. Thanks for the laugh!

Author's reply

I'm glad you liked it. It's totally impossible but if anyone could teach sheep to dance, it would be Pippin. hehehe Thank you for laughing!

GamgeeFest · 22 July 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

Ent draught! Lucky for Pippin they just decided to relocate and this didn't turn into attack of the killer tomatoes! LOL! I love Pippin's logic - the ent draught made him and Merry taller, so it would make the tomatoes taller - while completely overlooking the other side effect because he and Merry could already walk!

Author's reply

Yeah, Pip didn't think this through. Ent draught on Shire plants! Poor Frodo will have to do without tomatoes this year. Thanks for reading!

Antane · 6 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

Love it! Oh man, or I should say, oh, hobbit, pulling up stakes indeed! I was really tested not to laugh out loud since I am reading this at the library but how wonderful. Love how Sam related the little plant not wanting to be left behind and how they trudged down the road and Pippin wanting to follow and Frodo wondering whether it was a good morning or not. Great, great stuff! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Poor Sam had a very unusual gardening problem here. I'm glad you enjoyed this one. I really do wonder what Ent draught would do to regular plants. Thanks for reading and for the lovely review!

Baggins Babe · 6 June 2009 · Chapter 2: Dancing Sheep

I shall never look at sheep in quite the same way again (or tomatoes for that matter)! I shall be picturing them dancing. I'm wondering if Merry and Frodo will ever find out the truth - and will they take their revenge? *still giggling*

Author's reply

A great way to combine the two fics would be if they came across the tomatoes at some point and *they* were dancing. LOL Your review made me think of that. Ah, there may very well be revenge at some point. You just never know. Thanks so much for reviewing! (Now, I am seeing dancing tomato plants!)

Baggins Babe · 6 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

I remember reading this somewhere but it was just as hilarious second time round. Trust Pippin to run amok with that Ent draught! Frodo's reaction was hysterical and as for Merry......... Brilliant GW

Author's reply

Thank you! I always wonder if it's really a good idea to re-post something that's already out there in another location. It's good to know that you enjoyed reading it a second time here. Thanks for reviewing this!

Armariel · 5 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

I'd leave a review but I am still giggling too hard to make any sense........walking tomatoes...........oh my word............=D *runs for bathroom*

Author's reply

You can run into the bathroom but you can't hide from walking tomatoes. They have the ability to find you. hehehe Glad this gave you a giggle and thanks for reading!

BeeGee · 5 June 2009 · Chapter 2: Dancing Sheep

Now which sheep dance was it, the sam-baaa, or the rum-baaa? Gosh, that was awful, wasn't it, I'll stop while I'm ahead :D I've seen a poodle dancing at the end of a conga line, so maybe sheep can too. I guess anything is possible if there's a Took involved!

Author's reply

LOL Oh, thank you for the dance names! Your review is funnier than my story! Bravo! I salute you and command the sheep to do a special dance just in your honor.

Virtuella · 5 June 2009 · Chapter 2: Dancing Sheep

"I'll grant you that the middle one isn't too good at it but the little one on the end was very good" That was when I started laughing out loud, and I haven't stopped since. Wonderful!

Author's reply

I love it when these make people laugh. Thanks for that. I figure some sheep are just naturally better dancers than others, don't you? : )

Virtuella · 5 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

Intrigued by the title, I expected a suitably surreal tale, and I was not disappointed. This very funny, and it is even convincing, but at the same time it is indeed a barking mad story! Hahaha!

Author's reply

I tend to be barking mad all of the time. : ) Glad you weren't disappointed. If you see the tomato plants, let me know. : )

Andrea · 5 June 2009 · Chapter 2: Dancing Sheep

It had taken him two full months to teach those sheep to dance but it had been worth it. ROTFL!!! This is one of my favourites! Thank you for posting it again :) So, we had first Sam and then Merry being "pranked" (is that a verb?). And each time Pippin was the prankster. Next one should be Frodo, right?

Author's reply

You may be right. I haven't really written a prank for Pippin to play on Frodo. Hardly fair as I've let Frodo get off a well-played prank on Pippin before. I might have to give this some thought... I am so glad to hear that this is one of your favorites. That's so sweet of you to say. Thanks for reading, laughing, and reviewing.

6336 · 5 June 2009 · Chapter 2: Dancing Sheep

Pippen never will learn will he? First walking tomatoes and now dancing sheep! Just how do you teach sheep to dance?! More please, Lynda

Author's reply

I figure that teaching sheep to dance is lots of work and takes patience. LOL Thanks so much for reading and for encouraging this madness that would be my writing.

Socrates399 · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

The Ataaaaaaaaaaaaaaack of the killer toMAtoes!

Author's reply

These are peaceful tomatoes. When things got out of hand, they just left. LOL I do think of that film when I think of this story though. hehehe

Dreamflower · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 2: Dancing Sheep

ROTFLMBO! *wipes eyes* I had forgotten all about this one! You just *have* to write the one where Merry finds out, and decides to get even...

Author's reply

I've meant to do that but just haven't got round to it yet. Maybe something will come to me later this weekend. I seem to be in a rather odd mood. : )

shirebound · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 2: Dancing Sheep

"It's a better dancer than you are!" Merry shouted. "You dance more like that middle one. You're always a step or two off." "Don't insult me just because you've gone barking mad," Pippin said crossly. Heeee. I know what I'll be counting on my way to sheep sleep tonight.

Author's reply

If they dance, they are much harder to count. : ) Thanks for reading this! You did inspire me to write it.

PIppinfan1988 · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 2: Dancing Sheep

LOL!! What happened? Did I, like, crawl under a rock or something in 2007? I don't recall this story at all. Oh, yeah, now I remember -- 2007 was the year of Overtime. Oh, this was another good story that I'm glad I caught tonight. Well done, my friend!

Author's reply

Yes, 2007 was not a good year for extra time, was it? I think we both worked way too much that year. Glad you enjoyed this one. I'm off to bed now. Gotta sleep a couple hours before work starts! : )

PIppinfan1988 · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

ROTFLMAO!!!!! Omgosh!! How the heck did I miss this one?? That was too funny! The bit of Sam confessing to Frodo about the several beers and watching the tomatoes up and leaving the garden was absolutely hilarious. Loved it! Thanks for the laughs!

Author's reply

I liked letting poor Sam see something he couldn't explain away. I do enjoy it when practical folks are in impractical situations. Glad you liked this one. This was one of my odder ideas and that is how it came to be posted here.

PIppinfan1988 · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 0: It's Mysterious!

*snickering* Welcome to my world, lol. I turn my back on general conversation or *thought* and it disappears! I still love your prologues!

Author's reply

I lose so many things, I am not surprised that I misplaced a prologue. hehehe

BeeGee · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

This is too funny! Poor Frodo and Sam! I don't blame the tomatoes for taking off...:D I hope there are more of these tales!

Author's reply

So glad you enjoyed this and there will most likely be more. I'm not good at stopping. Thanks for reading and reviewing. Come back any time.

Andrea · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

"If those tomatoes come back for us, you're dealing with them, Peregrin Took." ROTFL!!! I remember this, too. But it's always great to read it again! And someone should warn Shirebound to not let Pippin near her tomatoe plant! Who knows what he might do?

Author's reply

Awww, thanks for reading again. I'm so glad you liked it enough to read twice. That's always good to hear. I'll warn Shirebound. Pippin might just turn up at her place with Ent draught. Stranger things have happened.

Andrea · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 0: It's Mysterious!

Look for Magical Rings! Maybe the prologue *was* there and you just couldn't see it ;-)

Author's reply

THE RING! I knew I shouldn't wear that thing while typing out the prologue! Drat!

Dreamflower · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

*grin* I remember this! Hilarious! Perhaps next year, Sam can plant the tomatoes upside-down in buckets like I do. They wouldn't need any stakes then, and maybe Pippin could try his experiment again.

Author's reply

You know, Sam might just be the very hobbit that thought of those upside down tomatoes! You should do a fiction where he or someone in the Shire plants upside down tomatoes. That would be funny. I'm sure the Gaffer would find it very annoying! Can you just imagine an Ent Tomato upside down in a bucket? LOL

Dreamflower · 4 June 2009 · Chapter 0: It's Mysterious!

Most sinister! I suspect a CONSPIRACY! Where do you suppose Merry, Pippin, Sam and Fatty were when it up and vanished?

Author's reply

I don't know! You may be onto something there. I'll have to question them later.

Pearl Took · 3 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

Absolutely delightful! Merry's moment of picturing the tomatoes on his plate opening their eyes was wonderfully creepy. Pip does need to be more careful with the Ent Draught! MEWD!!

Author's reply

Thank you.

Larner · 3 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Pulling Up Stakes

GW, ONLY YOU could come up with a premise such as this! Oh, how wonderful! How delightful! And trust Pippin to be behind it somehow! Hehehehehehehe!

Author's reply

Sometimes when I get these ideas I think to myself, ok, that's as weird as it's going to get and then another comes along. I've no idea where they all come from. I guess I just take in the plot bunnies too weird for everyone else. Someone has to do it. Glad you enjoyed it.

Larner · 3 June 2009 · Chapter 0: It's Mysterious!

Don't turn your back on a prologue? Tricksy devils, eh? Heh!

Author's reply

Very true. It just disappeared. Who knew?
