· Chapter 4: Kittens Come to Dinner
Your Aragorn and Arwen are wise and caring parents but I do hope that they don't expect their children to attend too many boring dinner parties!
Author's reply
I am so pleased you enjoy my Aragorn and Arwen. I plan on writing more of them later on, and so I'm happy to know you enjoy my portrayel of them. No, I don't think they expect their young children to attend many boring dinners. Thank you so very much for taking the time to read and review. Apologies for taking a few days to reply and thank you. "hugs"

· Chapter 3: Pink
Pink banners? Now that really would have been a sight to see above the Citadel! *giggle* I bet Aragorn looked really fetching in pink!
This reminds me of the quilt that Larner had Pippin make for him with pink patches.
Author's reply
Pink banners would hav been rather....Vsibile, wouldn't they? I don't know how Aragorn would look in pink or not, but the image makes me giggle everytime. I'm pleased you enjoyed this and honored you took the time to leave a review. Thank you!

'Even a cat may look at a King' but it doesn't give her the right to sink her claws in to climb his leg! *grin*
Author's reply
No, it sure doesn't does it? But thakfully for the dear kitty Aragorn was kind enough to let his daughter keep the little one. Thank you vry much for reviewing. :-)

· Chapter 1: A Clumsy Serenade
A clumsy serenade indeed but it worked and that is what counts. I am glad that Aragorn realises that the lad will do it again. An enjoyable read!
Author's reply
I think most women can appreciate the effort, even if it doesn't always have succesful results. Aragorn knows hs son well, and is wise enough to let Eldarion find his way. I'm happy you enjoyed this!

Yes, this is a time to begin looking forward to the reunions. I didn't realize one of his children had preceded him. Alas this must be so--but it is common enough even today!
Thank you for this one.
Author's reply
Sorry I got behind on my replies. Yes, in my corner of the world, one of Aragorn's daughters does die, but her death saved a lot of other lives so it wasn't in vain. I haven't had a chance to write that story yet. I am glad you liked this. Thanks for the review.

· Chapter 8: Pursued by the Predator
Sleep deprivation, dehydration, and fasting were also used by many cultures along with chants and sometimes dance as preparation to experience prophetic visions, which in Aragorn's case appears to have happened! Very wonderful dream he has, and fully in accord with what you have described his second daughter to be. A memory of a most vivid dream-vision of the future for him, one to help sustain him when he feels barred from the one hope he has!
Author's reply
Yes they were. We studied that a lot in psychology. I liked the idea of Aragorn seeing a vision of Arwen and his daughter. It's actually his daughter, Elarinya, that he sees. She's the only blonde child of his in my corner of the world. She inheireted it from Galadriel and celebrian, I also always envisioned Gilraen as blonde, I just always have. I thought Aragorn needed the visions of hope for his future for sure. I'm happy you enjoyed this and I appreciate the review.

· Chapter 7: Kings and Kitchens Don't Mix
Poor Aragorn--challenged to do what he's not done before--or at least not all that well. But she appreciates the thought and effort made to please her--not that anyone married to Aragorn would ever truly regret it! Heh!
Author's reply
I would appreciate it if Aragorn made me burned toast or soggy cereal for sure! Poor Aragorn trying to step out of his comfort zone, and taking along a toddler who is more interested in making loud noises. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and review!

Such a wonderful reason for him to choose now to linger here in the Mortal Lands--for a few seasons, at least. And life is renewed through our children!
Author's reply
This was a touching story to write, and it's very rare I write from legolas' perspective. I am pleased you enjoyed this and took the time to read and review. Thanks so very much!

· Chapter 6: The Gown
I love the image of Aragorn trying to cope with something as elusive as his daughter's desire to be fashionable and adult. He was right; but how many young women want to hear that when they have a pretty new dress? Of course, Arwen knew what to do; she would know more about fashion and what pretty dresses mean to young women, as both a queen and a mother.
Author's reply
I am glad you enjoyed this, Raksha. I bet it must have been hard for Aragorn to understand his daughters, having been a man on his own or around other men for years. I always imagine Arwen as being a able to mediate situations between Aragorn and his daughters. I envision her as being a very patient and loving mother. Thank you so very much for taking the time to read and review my story. :-)

through her, he learned to truly live and see the world through the eyes of a child. Life was so much more refreshing and pure that way. Even the colors appeared brighter. Through raising his children, Aragorn learned to appreciate the world around in him in a way he had never known before.
How beautiful. We're never too old to learn, and to appreciate what our lives have brought us.

It is a fine line we walk, and we must be careful not to cross it. Your Ada has brought about many changes to better this kingdom for all. But there are those that still find change difficult and hold true to the strict traditions
That's very perceptive, and would be a mature concept for a young girl to grasp.
Author's reply
I think it would have been tough for Aragorn's daughters at times, especially when older members of the court are still adjusting to the new way of things. I'm glad you liked this and thank you for reviewing.

What a beautiful scene between Legolas and the new baby. You can feel his spirit renewed here, if only temporarily.

· Chapter 3: Pink
Very cute, especially the kitten. I do find myself wondering if the color pink has the same connotations in Gondor that it does in our world. They might think a man wearing pink is perfectly normal. However, as a story for people on this earth it works well.
Author's reply
I wondered about pink having the same conentations too. I know in Europe, mn are more open to color in their clothing. I'm not sure if pink has the same meanings in M-e or not. I am glad you liked this tale though. Forgive my lateness in responding. I was under the weather. Thanks so much for your review.

Thank you so very much, Linda. I am happy and honored to be able to post them here. I of course will write about Aragorn and his family in the future. The Numenoreans have been my loudest muses lately, but I could never forget Aragorn and his kin either.

Yes, children! And remember--they pick out our long-term care facilities! The idea of Aragorn having to wear that pink nightshirt will ever linger in my imagination, alongside his bedroll with its bright pink patches. Pink--one of the colors of love expressed! Heh!
Author's reply
The image of the pink nightshirt is forever emblazened in my memory too, as well as the look of horror on poor Aragorn's face when he saw all his new clothing dyed pink. Ye, that story about the pink patches was yours wasn't it? I remeber you linking me to it after I posted this on GFIC and I couln't help but laugh. Little did I know at the time I wrote this, my husband would be utterly against pink too! LOL! I'm glad this story had you tickled too. :-)

· Chapter 3: Pink
Actually, a pink banner over the Citadel would be rather eye-catching, LOL. And Aragorn in a pink nightshirt, oh the poor guy.
Funny story. Minor quibble - the expression I mean business is a bit too modern for my taste; a little jarring in a story about even Fourth Age Middle-earth.
At least the kid didn't cut up the cloaks to make dolls' clothes or something!
Author's reply
I had tears streaming down my face I was laughing so hard while I wrote this. I wasn't sure if it would be too over the top or be as humorous to others as it was to me. Pink banners "would" make a nice contrast with all that white stone wouldn't they? LOL! Ah the fun of raising young daughters. Thanks for the advice on the one phrase. I wasn't sure how else to word it, otherwise I would have used something less modern.
Oh no! I'm glad Miriel didn't cut up the cloaks either! But I think she heard the suggestion, LOL! She's the more mischevious of my muses, that's for sure. Thanks for reviewing!
