Well, it was published in the news that Hillary was sinnedg $45 million to Al Qaeda in Libya, so you tell me, why she would say that if it wasn't true? The rumor about the consulate was false, because there was no consulate in that Town in Libya and that is confirmed from many different sources including the gov list of such facilities in Libya. It was an office of the CIA there to train and manage the liberals and 16 of them left after the ambassador begged for more security. It definitely was not the Gadaffi group that did it, it was the same group that took out Gadaffi becuase they sodomized him as well as the ambassador and only khazars do that as a ritualistic practice to their faith which is phallic worshipping. You do know they are pagans, right? They are not practicing Jews.
Redheredh · 2 March 2005 · Chapter 9999: Epilogue
I am so sad. I started reading this story only a short time ago and now that I am caught up with the chapters and the story itself... it comes to an end!! *nnnh*! I was hoping you would tell us how Ariashal came to be encased in her enchanted crypt. Or would the better description be 'magical cocoon'? Anyway, thank you for a great story. I am slowly working my way through the rest of your archived stories and enjoying them very much. Oh, if only I were anything like a *good* reader and reviewed as often as I should!
Ariel · 1 March 2005 · Chapter 9999: Epilogue
Epilogue! Wow! It's over! *pout* Oh, but I'll bet you aren't unhappy about that. LOL! Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable tale.
Ariel · 1 March 2005 · Chapter 50: Homeward Bound
I am glad you are still updating this story here. It is still as entertaining as ever even though it seems that few are dedicated enough to follow it. You may not need my praise, but I read here most often and am glad to have the story somewhere I am not likely to miss a new chapter.
Ariel · 29 August 2004 · Chapter 48: The Hands of a King
For some reason, I didn't get this alert, but I figured you must have updated by now so I came to look and voila! Sweet chapter - I have a vision of Arishal and her king holding each other in her cart on the long trip back – very nice. I am surprised there have been no other reviews to this chapter. When was it posted? You seem to have the same issue with this slowly updated piece that I have with mine – without reminders, only those who are truly into the story seek out updates. A couple of typos you might want to fix. “It was your skills that saved her, not simply her strength,” said Herumor “ I would have been unable to stanch the flow of blood, let along heal her lung.” Should be 'alone' instead of 'along'? “Neglected them? Nay, you have given them a far better education than most men, and even fewer kings treat their sons as well as you do. You have nothing to fear in regards to your children.” “Still. It will be good when they can see their mother and I again. The Queen sorely misses them.” Missing hard return between the quote marks. Thanks again for updating and hopefully I will get the alert next time! Ariel
Lossenchristal · 29 May 2004 · Chapter 47: The Silver Phantom
Wow! I just read the whole thing! I never thought I would actually like the Witch-King!:) But I do!:/ Very interesting story! Keep up the good work!:) Namarië, ~Lossenchristal
Music2084 · 21 April 2004 · Chapter 47: The Silver Phantom
Wow! I just read the whole thing. It was greattttttt. I really enjoyed reading it. Chapter 47 has a happy ending. Does that mean the story has ended? ...i hope not.
Author's reply
No, not yet--I'm just up to my eyeballs with the Mithril Awards.
Brigit · 7 April 2004 · Chapter 47: The Silver Phantom
I've read the whole story! I love how Ariashal is more than a brainless MS. You make her and her husband realistic. BTW, I figured out who the Witch-King was! The only childless queen of Numenor was the one before Tar-Minastir. Minastir's father was named Isilmo. Am I right?! *jumps up and down* Am I right?
Author's reply
Yes. There are a couple of theories about him; the Isilmo one works best, IMHO.
Ariel · 31 March 2004 · Chapter 47: The Silver Phantom
Oh, that was nicely done. Well handled action and compelling storyline. I was glad Ariashal got to see her husband's face, even if it took her own near death to do it. I get the feeling she considers it worth the price.
Nilmandra · 22 March 2004 · Chapter 46: Wedding Night
All I can say about Ferion is that it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. And Ariashal is brave - she has faith in her husband, but it still requires courage to pull off her end of it.
Nilmandra · 6 March 2004 · Chapter 45: Daybreak
I am glad to have time to catch up on Ariashal. Again, I am amazed that you can get me rooting for the witch-king, although I admit it is Ariashal and the children who truly move me. Ferion is evil, but I think he is also weak - he wouldn't stand up to the tortures and difficulties he inflicts upon others. I am curious to see where you take this. I have to go back to the beginning to see if you say when this takes place, if Ariashal is alive when the Witch King is driven from the north. Thanks for the updates.
Author's reply
This is set quite early in his reign--Amon Sul still stands, and Rhudaur *is* still Dunedain. But that's about to change. *g* As for Ferion's ability to handle pain--stay tuned! ;-)
Ariel · 14 February 2004 · Chapter 43: The Prince of Cardolan
SPLENDID cliffhanger! Very well executed reasoning and a dreadful if logical conclusion. I do enjoy a well thought out and realistically derived tale. It is SO refreshing to see characters acting like real people instead of caricatures. Thank you for this and please update as soon as possible! I am positively rooting for the WiKi to show up and save her. Lovely!
Jen Littlebottom · 8 January 2004 · Chapter 5: Coronation Day
... Well, you did it. You made me feel sympathy towards a Nazgul.
Author's reply
Thank you! Now you'll just have to read on, and see what else is coming. ;-)
Jen Littlebottom · 8 January 2004 · Chapter 4: Carn Dum
Ariashal is an interesting character - I can't help but think that the Witch-King wants her for some rather 'darker' purpose than to take her to wife. The mention of his 'associates'... *shudder*
Nilmandra · 2 January 2004 · Chapter 40: To the Victor
I am glad to see Ferion defeated by the Witch-King - I actually felt bloodthirsty enough to hope that the Witch-King would slay him! For Ariashal's sake, I hope she can be reunited with her husband, for he does love her and she him.
daw the minstrel · 11 December 2003 · Chapter 39: The Captive Queen
Much as I am compelled to cheer against the Nazgul, I can't see it as a good thing that Ferion is now in power. Did they really kill the king? Ariashal is in a bad way, poor thing.
Author's reply
Technically, Ferion only controls Rhudaur. Angmar is not his. And as you have probably already guessed, Ferion has made plans for his sister.
Ariel · 11 December 2003 · Chapter 39: The Captive Queen
You know, if I didn't know he lived, I'd be really irritated at you.... ;) Nice job, as always. This is one of those stories that is just good fiction, one you could easily publish professionally with a few name changes, which I certainly hope to see you do. Ariel
Author's reply
Thanks! The biggest obstacle to changing the names is the loss of resonance. The backstory is already there. Everyone knows what the Nazgul are. Losing that would, I think, undermine some of the story's effect. It would be nice if the Tolkien estate would allow for licensing of derivative works. There's so much fine material out there, and it's a shame that it never gets past a handful of websites. In the meantime, you can buy all the Frodo bobbleheads you want. :[
Antigone_Q · 27 November 2003 · Chapter 38: The Grotto
Oh my goodness! That was unexpected... This story is so original and intriguing. I just found it a few weeks ago and read the whole thing in one go. I'm glad you updated here.
Author's reply
Wow--one go??? Thank you!
Nilmandra · 27 November 2003 · Chapter 37: Blue Boots
Herumor's explanation of the water was very interesting, that it calls to them. I wonder about fire, then too. That had to be pretty amazing for the children to see their father perform magic. This particular thing was merely fun, but his powers have to be very fearful as well.
Author's reply
They've seen him do other, more flamboyant things before. But there's a big difference between fireworks and what he's doing now, yes. Are they afraid? They're more at the "Wow! My dad can do THIS!" stage than anything else.
daw the minstrel · 27 November 2003 · Chapter 38: The Grotto
Once again, I found myself in the odd position of seeing Elves as the enemy. It's amazing what a shift in point of view will do. I have been watching the extended DVD of TTT and it reminded me of the scene in the book in which Sam (Faramir in the movie) thinks that the Easterner had honor and would rather have stayed at home in peace. What you do is a more radical version of that.
daw the minstrel · 27 November 2003 · Chapter 37: Blue Boots
Somehow I missed this chapter. The material about water was interesting. I hadn't thought about it before but there has to be some reason for the Wraiths' dislike of it. This suggests that it reminds them too strongly of what they are (or were).
Iorhael · 7 November 2003 · Chapter 0: Prologue--The Ruins
khazar, sorry if I'm mistaken. But is this you who beta-ed my story? I've just sent my sample story to this site. Hope they like it! BTW, what an idea of a story you have here!
Author's reply
No, I don't believe I beta-ed your story. Sorry! But I am glad you like what you've seen here. Keep reading!
daw the minstrel · 21 October 2003 · Chapter 36: Herumor Returns
Much too much is being made of this grotto. I have a bad feeling about it.
Author's reply
I am flattered that you've enjoyed this thus far--I'm always happy when people like my story. Now to address a couple of things: Yes, Galadriel's temptation of the Fellowship is rather similar, isn't it? Just imagine how ruthless she would have been with the One Ring... You are correct: the kneejerk reaction is: These guys were bad & got what they deserved. But Sauron wanted the best, not just the bad. Bad guys are easy to get. It's much harder--and more satisfying--to find people who aren't bad, and then use their own character against them. This is not to say that every one he caught was a decent man. Khamul, of course, isn't going to win the Good Samaritan award anytime soon, and there are others who fall in the same category.
daw the minstrel · 21 October 2003 · Chapter 35: Cleaning House
I can't believe I am actually feeling sorry for the Witch King. And he does have a point - elves are arrogant.
