Toddler Frodo? And baby Sam? Too cute to be real!!!

Author's reply

Well, a bit more than a toddler, but it is adorable for them to be together, isn't it? Meant to be together all this time... :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

KathyG · 28 March 2014 · Chapter 1: Now and For Always

This is such a delightful story! I like how Frodo and Sam had their lessons side by side, how they got to play together aftrward, and how Bilbo and Frodo gave Sam overnight shelter from the violent thunderstorm.

Author's reply

Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed it! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Queen Galadriel · 17 September 2011 · Chapter 7: The Gift

Aww...*snif* So sweet, but sad too. But at least if they must go, they can go together, after both have healed.

Author's reply

Do they think they would have gone any other way? :) Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Piptane :) *hugs you and them*

Queen Galadriel · 17 September 2011 · Chapter 6: A Rose for Sam

Sooo cute! This made me laugh out loud, and also miss the only one who would ever serve me breakfast in bed.

Author's reply

Another thing they love to do is spoil each other, though Frodo can hardly get a chance. :) Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Piptane :)

Queen Galadriel · 17 September 2011 · Chapter 5: Sam's Garden

Aww! this does seem exactly like something Frodo would do for Sam in hope of his coming, and I bet it was healing for him, too. There's nothing quite like tending a plant and watching it grow under your care.

Author's reply

Glad you enjoyed it, ammelda! I think anything that connected him to home and Sam (which is one and the same thing) he would do and of course he wanted Sam to feel at home also. :) Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Piptane :)

Queen Galadriel · 17 September 2011 · Chapter 4: A Primer for Sam

this is lovely. I love your elf, and the metaphor of the night and day.

Author's reply

Le hannon, ammelda! Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Piptane :)

Queen Galadriel · 17 September 2011 · Chapter 3: Praise and Thanksgiving

So sweet, I love the banter about song and praise!

Author's reply

This is a recurring theme I love to use. :) When you read the Never Ending Argument, you'll learn they are still going at it after death even! Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Piptane :)

Queen Galadriel · 17 September 2011 · Chapter 2: Healer

this is so sweet! "He'll be right as rain in no time." "But it was rain that made him sick!" LOL I chuckled over Lobelia too, when I first learned what it was and how terrible it smells! Mom used to give it to my youngest brother for the awful coughs he had as a baby and young child. I thought it was funny that Lobelia S.B. should be named after a smelly herb. Love the way Frodo took care of Sam and the cozy image at the end!

Author's reply

So wonderful to see your reviews here again, ammelda! Glad you enjoyed! Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Piptane :) *hugs*

Larner · 4 September 2011 · Chapter 4: A Primer for Sam

Good to see the darkness in his soul departing, and the delight returning at the last. An excellent lesson for the both of them.

Author's reply

Yes, slowly but surely the darkness is leaving and joy taking its place. Hantanyel! What a wonder Sam must have seen when he came at last. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Larner · 4 September 2011 · Chapter 5: Sam's Garden

Of course this garden will respond so to Sam! A joy to find the very land awaiting him!

Author's reply

Hantanyel, my dear! Glad you enjoyed it! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

shirebound · 3 September 2011 · Chapter 7: The Gift

He caressed that dear face and curls and smiled at him, so full of loving light that it seemed to be a separate thing, alive on its own. No sorrow, only joy! I know everything happened for them just this way.

Author's reply

Le hannon, my dear! I am honored. *bows to you and them in appreciation* Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

shirebound · 3 September 2011 · Chapter 6: A Rose for Sam

not that Mr. Bilbo or Mr. Gandalf or the Elves haven’t, mind you, but you are mine, and no one else’s This is so full of love and contentment. And Sam bringing Frodo his favorite honey is such a lovely detail.

Author's reply

Le hannon! *hugs* Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

shirebound · 15 February 2010 · Chapter 1: Now and For Always

I had an urge to re-read this dear story today. It makes me feel very warm and happy.

harrowcat · 26 September 2009 · Chapter 7: The Gift

A lovely view of this last/first day Antane. Sorry that it has taken me a time to get to these. RL is getting busy again and Mum has been poorly so me time on the computer has been very limited.

Author's reply

How nice to hear from you, my dear in this nice little flood of reviews! So glad you enjoyed. *hugs* Will continue to pray for your mum. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

harrowcat · 26 September 2009 · Chapter 5: Sam's Garden

The garden is pleased to grow all the better for the tending of this Master Gardener even though it thrived under the hand of the apprentice.

harrowcat · 26 September 2009 · Chapter 2: Healer

I love the reversal of outward roles here Antane although we all know that the two friends each look after the other in so many ways.

Author's reply

It was kinda fun to have Frodo be the comforter and aider this time. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

harrowcat · 26 September 2009 · Chapter 1: Now and For Always

Definitely a friendship born in heaven. Lovely Antane.

Author's reply

Definitely! What a lovely way to say it! Hantanyel, my dear! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Larner · 23 September 2009 · Chapter 7: The Gift

A sweet death and birth into the next life.

Author's reply

I really can't imagine them having anything other! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

shirebound · 22 September 2009 · Chapter 7: The Gift

What a dear, loving story. Frodo healed, full of joy, and treasured, and passing into the next adventure in the arms of his brother.

Author's reply

Thank you, my dear! Glad you enjoyed! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Larner · 6 September 2009 · Chapter 5: Sam's Garden

It could be wonderful to find Bag End copied for them in the Undying Lands, but I think I personally will stay with my summer house, a gentle place plainly divorced from the life they'd known in Middle Earth, a reminder they have been transplanted. But I can certainly understand Sam's delight in the stars overhead and the rich soil underneath, and the delight in soil and flowers at being under the hands of such a master of the craft! Yes!

Author's reply

Sorry to be so late in responding here - I love the idea of being 'transplanted' which they certainly were, but also a Bag End in the West would help perhaps in the beginning to get over the shock, though it would feel 'queer' also as Frodo said so maybe you would right to have a place totally different. I wish we knew more about their time there! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
