Periantari · 1 January 2009 · Chapter 4: A Cold in Brandy Hall
Oh that's so sad for Frodo to be all alone in Brandy Hall without parents when he's sick! I love this drabble fro a i love h/c-- there should be companion drabble of someone who comforts him... i already have scene in mind.. ;)
Author's reply
oh, I know... that's precisely a time when youy want your parents the most even if you're in your 20s! So, you have one in mind, eh? Oh, but you must divulge it! Or even write it and just direct people back to my drabble that inspired it! =o) Go right ahead and compose it, your permission is right here. ^^ Miss ya!
shirebound · 1 January 2009 · Chapter 5: Happy new year!
Happy New Year! :)
Author's reply
Happy 2009! May this be your best year ever!
Celeritas · 31 December 2008 · Chapter 4: A Cold in Brandy Hall
*sniffle* I did love how simple and childish the wish was at the end--no hardcore angst, just a simple regret and missing. *hands Frodo steaming cups of tea and cookies*
Author's reply
I do believe Frodo enjoys those delicious cookies very much
Larner · 22 December 2008 · Chapter 4: A Cold in Brandy Hall
Oh, but I do understand! Poor Frodo!
Author's reply
We need to get over to Brandy Hall and hug him.
Antane · 21 December 2008 · Chapter 4: A Cold in Brandy Hall
The poor lad! Sick and orphaned at the same time. Maybe his aunt will come with that tea... Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
She had better! The poor lad =(
Dreamflower · 21 December 2008 · Chapter 4: A Cold in Brandy Hall
Aww...poor little Frodo.
Author's reply
Bring on Frodo's tea party, complete with lots of hugs!
Grey Wonderer · 21 December 2008 · Chapter 1: Missing You
You captured Frodo's feeling of loss very well. I enjoyed this.
Author's reply
Thanks for your kind review!
Grey Wonderer · 21 December 2008 · Chapter 3: Of Pip and Presents and Patience, Patience, Patience
Adorable!
Author's reply
Thanks for the review! =) I love Pippin and kids, and this combines both!
Antane · 20 December 2008 · Chapter 3: Of Pip and Presents and Patience, Patience, Patience
Pippin would be a handful, wouldn't he? :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
Oh, yes, he certainly can! If he was as curious and uncaring about "No, don't touch!" in his late tweens, can you imagine him as a small faunt? Yikes!
Dreamflower · 20 December 2008 · Chapter 3: Of Pip and Presents and Patience, Patience, Patience
LOL! Well all that frosting is going to make wee!Pippin even more insuppressible! *grin*
Author's reply
Oh, yes, it certainly shall! What in the name of Eru was Paladin thinking, allowing him (and his sisters) to have a present with a high sugar content?
shirebound · 20 December 2008 · Chapter 2: Writer's Block
It's amusing to imagine Bilbo fighting through the same writer's block the rest of us struggle with!
Author's reply
Oh, yes! Writer's block certainly is an omnipresent nuisance!
shirebound · 20 December 2008 · Chapter 3: Of Pip and Presents and Patience, Patience, Patience
Pippin had almost escaped LOL, they have to watch him every second! What an energetic lad. :)
Author's reply
Oh, indeed! That's with four pairs of eyes, too! Wait until *after* the cake...
Larner · 19 December 2008 · Chapter 3: Of Pip and Presents and Patience, Patience, Patience
Oh, that's our Pippin! Heh! Thank you for the giggles!
Author's reply
Giggles are a great way to start or end the day =o) *huggles Pippin*
Celeritas · 16 December 2008 · Chapter 2: Writer's Block
Oh, I can identify with Bilbo here--probably the most irksome thing for me is when I have the perfect scene fitted out in my head, maybe I've gone over it verbatim but haven't written it down, and then when I actually do go and write it down it never comes out the same... dull as dishwater indeed!
Author's reply
Ah yes. Or worse... your cell phone rings. Or someone speaks to you and you lose your train of thought.
Antane · 10 December 2008 · Chapter 2: Writer's Block
Yep, been there, done that as far as not liking the way things sound sometimes. But aren't we glad it all turned out so charming in the end! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
Indeed! I am very happy that Bilbo got over his mental block with that pesky chapter!
daw the minstrel · 8 December 2008 · Chapter 2: Writer's Block
Hey, we've all been there with writer's block! Good to know Bilbo was too. Thanks, SH.
Author's reply
I guess it really does happen to the best of us, eh? =o)
Larner · 8 December 2008 · Chapter 2: Writer's Block
Oh, I know what you mean! I had one chapter to Stirring Rings that crept out in phrases and sentences for MONTHS! Oh, do I identify with Bilbo here!
Author's reply
Ah yes. And my annual chapters for some of my stories...
Periantari · 3 December 2008 · Chapter 1: Missing You
aww i like this! So sad and angsty! Poor Frodo! Very believable bit about what he might've been thinking at that time.:huggles him:
Author's reply
I know, the poor dear! It must have been hard, realizing he would be living alone for the first time.
Larner · 1 December 2008 · Chapter 1: Missing You
It had to be traumatic, even if he were aware Bilbo was leaving and were as prepared as he could have been--which it appears, book-verse, he was. But I, too, see him finding that first night traumatic, that first night, perhaps just before--or just after--he put a certain gold Ring in his pocket.
Author's reply
Book-verse, he certainly did have an idea! However, he would of course want to deny any inkling to himself because he cares about Bilbo so much. Our poor dear Frodo. Oh, yes, and that gold ring certainly would complicate matters- though of course I have absolutely *no* idea why. Not. An. Inkling. Poor Frodo!
Antane · 30 November 2008 · Chapter 1: Missing You
Such a large change would be hard to adjust to at first, but we know he turned out just fine! A sweet ache for his grief here. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
It certainly is a change! Change is rarely easy, especially ones the size of ount Doom like this one.
Celeritas · 30 November 2008 · Chapter 1: Missing You
*sniffle* Yes, yes, and yes. This used the drabble format to its fullest potential--I hope you can make it back here for more!
Author's reply
Thank you for the kind review! I'm hoping so too- I plan to be, if my end-of-semester doesn't kill me! Of course, there is always procrastination via drabbling... =D
Lindelea · 30 November 2008 · Chapter 1: Missing You
Lovely bit of illustration here: could not escape one thought that stubbornly clung to his mind like a piece of grass on one’s feet. Nicely done. You pack a lot into a mere 100 words. Thanks!
Author's reply
Thanks for the sweet review, Lindelea! I've read a lot of your stuff and really like it, so it's definitely an honor to get this =)
