harrowcat · 10 March 2010 · Chapter 32: I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son

I have indeed been following the revisions with great delight Linda. Although I did enjoy your first version a good deal this has been so much better. I am planning to download it to my e.book reader if that is alright with you.

Author's reply

dragonbriar · 2 March 2010 · Chapter 20: Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to work we go

I am not sure if you are aware but, this chapter is up twice. Repeating itself one after another.

Author's reply

Thank you so much for telling me! I have fixed it now.

Raksha The Demon · 4 October 2009 · Chapter 26: Knowledge is Power

Loved the argument between the farmers, and Tasariel's resolve to help her patients. Not exactly a royal progress for the King, but he is enjoying himself healing various villagers.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It is a real treat to get one here!I think this is just what Aragorn need to regain the confidence he lost as result of WOT and Tasariel is good for him too.

Inzilbeth · 23 July 2009 · Chapter 24: A prophet hath no honour in his own country.

I do hope the mother and child recover soon. These suspicious folks would certainly benefit by becoming more trusting of the strangers in their midst and I'm just waiting for Aragorn to turn to them and say: 'oh and by the way, I'm the King'!

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I think isolated people do tend to mistrust outsiders. Poor Aragorn's hands are tied with his loyalty to Faramir.

curiouswombat · 19 May 2009 · Chapter 23: Reapers, I pray you, make haste

Ah - I have been wondering when that would occur to one or the other... Excellent chapter.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you are enjoying the story .

Raksha The Demon · 2 May 2009 · Chapter 18: Words of Kindness

The guys really need this time; though it's a shame that Faramir had to suffer through a spider bite and delirium to inspire Aragorn to heal him...

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I think Aragorn was starting to soften sufficiently to treat Faramir's bad back but it took the shock of the spider bite to truly bring him to his senses where Faramir was concerned!

Raksha The Demon · 2 May 2009 · Chapter 11: Singing in the Wilderness

Good to see that they're beginning to relax with each other now. Aragorn can give Faramir some very interesting insights on the family history, especially that of Finduilas, who Faramir would barely remember.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It must be wonderful for Faramir to find someone who knows so much about the family history and talk to him about his mother.

Raksha The Demon · 2 May 2009 · Chapter 7: All men are equal before fish

A harrowing chapter; with our heroes' pain and emotions running high. They have a lot of forgiving to do.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I think they are both their own worse enemies here.

Raksha The Demon · 14 April 2009 · Chapter 17: You are mine, O child: I am your Father

An emotional roller-coaster of a chapter - good handling of all our heroes' ups and downs.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review,my first in months for this story! I'm pleased you enjoyed the chapter.

Raksha The Demon · 18 January 2009 · Chapter 10: Tat Avam Asi

Wow - can we market the water from that lake, please? At last our heroes are having some overdue fun, not to mention much-needed spiritual renewal.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. The lake is based on one near my home, but I fear the water lacks this lake's magic!

Raksha The Demon · 18 January 2009 · Chapter 9: Where Streams of living water flow

The chapter looks quite good; and the plot is thickening; our heroes coming closer to the goal they seek.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I think this is a surprise for both of them!

Raksha The Demon · 18 January 2009 · Chapter 8: Climb every mountain

Hmm; two steps forward and one step back, it seems. Fascinating chapter; and more to come on this spiritual and actual journey.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Progress seems painfully slow for these two!

inzilbeth · 18 January 2009 · Chapter 10: Tat Avam Asi

The description of Aragorn in the lake is my favourite passage out of all the stories of yours I have ever read. Far too rarely is Aragorn portrayed in such magnificent terms. It was a true pleasure to read.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. This is one of my favourite chapters too!I'm pleased that you like it so much!

harrowcat · 14 January 2009 · Chapter 9: Where Streams of living water flow

I enjoyed this the first time but this is even better. Well done Linda.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I agree Raksha's revisions have improved the story!

Inzilbeth · 14 January 2009 · Chapter 9: Where Streams of living water flow

You make the lake sound so beautiful and a very spiritual place. It's no wonder Aragorn feels Eru is calling to him personally. A lovely chapter.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review >I'm so pleased you liked the lake, based on some near my home you can see on my website.I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.

Lady_Roisin · 6 November 2008 · Chapter 6: I go woolward for penance

Oh my gosh! So much tension! I hope they don't kill eachother! Very good building of the tension. I feel horrible for faramir.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review again my only one. I think they are angry enough to kill each other!

Lady_Roisin · 6 November 2008 · Chapter 5: I am no longer worthy to be called your son

I like the contrast of Aragorn's more free spirit compared to Faramir's habit of rigid ritual. Oddly, I like the colder Aragorn. It's a side of him we don't often get to see. I do feel for Faramir though!

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I always see Faramir as tending to be more formal than Aragorn. I found cold Aragorn quite hard to write, though from the books I feel he can be intimidating when he chooses!

Lady_Roisin · 28 October 2008 · Chapter 4: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills

Lots of great things in this chapter. I am afraid I am going to have to re-read it later due to being a bit blurry today due to meds, but I really liked what I saw. I liked all the history you included. I wrote a story about Anarion's daughter, so I liked how mentioned her. Not many people talk about Anarion, even though he's one of my favorites. I liked how Arwen came up with the whole plan, I liked seeing her taking action to make things right. I feel that is very true to her character. I look forward to reading more.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It is so nice that someone is reading here. Raksha and I assumed Anarion may well have had daughters who were not mentioned in canon.I love Arwen and see her as very wise.

Lady_Roisin · 22 October 2008 · Chapter 3: Air! Air! My heart is suffocating!

Lots of detailed and well writen emotions displayed in this chapter. It's interesting to see Aragorn in such a vulnerable state, but you write it well. I really love seeing Arwen as the strength in this chapter. I like seeing her as a hero of sorts. I also really liked how you included the historical refernces from Tolkien's writing too. That added a lot to the chapter too. I'm interested to see how this plays out.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you liked the way I portray the emotions. It was quite hard to write Aragorn like this.I'm glad you like my Arwen.

Raksha The Demon · 17 October 2008 · Chapter 2: A Dinner of Herbs

Definitely an uncomfortable dinner! I loved the characterisation of Arwen here; she is pulling out all the stops, but Aragorn is not cooperating, and she is not pleased, though her heart aches for him. A sad and delicate situation; excellently plotted.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. The more I write Arwen, the more she grows on me.I think we've all been in situations like the dreadful dinner party at some time or other.I'm pleased you enjoyed the chapter.

Lady_Roisin · 16 October 2008 · Chapter 2: A Dinner of Herbs

It is interesting to see a colder side of Aragorn. The exchange between faramir and Aragorn was very well written. I could almost feel the tension just reading it! It was a very nice chapter.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed the chapter. It is quite hard for me to write my beloved Aragorn being so unpleasant!

Raksha The Demon · 12 October 2008 · Chapter 1: Out of Egypt I have called my son

A very promising first chapter; good to see this story on SoA.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I thought it was about time I shared this with my readers here.

Lady_Roisin · 12 October 2008 · Chapter 1: Out of Egypt I have called my son

You've written the angst well here. I hope Eowyn and Arwen can talk some sense into their husbands. I loved the letter Ewyn wrote, as well as the details about the horses. I felt that was very fitting for her character. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review,my first for this story on this site.I'm pleased you enjoyed the angst. Raksha did a lot of extra research about the horses.
