Very interesting tale.
I will tell you this - it sent chills up my spine to think of 'our' story as part of another ages fables/history/heritage. 'Our' world seems so very real - and yet to have it BE real is quite bizarre-feeling.
I thought the idea was great and the job of transmitting that ideas was difficult. You did it very well.
Congrats on a well-written, 'different' perspective of 'our' times.

And how easily do you think it should have been for the "boy" to have pulled down the Devil's tower? An interesting and appropriate modern "festival" of remembrance!

Luckily history doesn't have to explain it. *grins*. Thanks for reviewing.LBJ

This was wonderful! I remember, when reading Tolkien's letters, that he stressed to readers who asked that Middle-earth was not another planet or a dimension outside of the ordinary time and place where we live, but "the inhabited lands of Men" (and Elves, Hobbits, Dwarves, etc.). Thanks for this delightful speculation on how people of later ages would interpret the story.

Thank you for reviewing. Somewhere there must be more evidence of the influence of Middle-earth on our past! LBJ

Isn't it interesting how Festivals get started and how old beliefs get integrated in to new ones!
More please,

Yes, it was fun thinking how the message might have been passed down the ages. Will have to see if the muse strikes again.LBJ
