I think this is my favourite chapter. You capture Faramir's joy beautifully.
Author's reply
I'm glad you liked it-- I still like the last one the best, but most readers' favorite chapter is this one.
Thanks for the review! :)

A lovely scene for Faramir and Eowyn.Poor faramir tripping like that!
Author's reply
That poor man! I shouldn't have enjoyed humiliating him, but I'm only human. He can't be the all-perfect, inscrutable Steward all the time.
Thanks! :)

I love this! First off! I have always loved that Eric Clapton song! And I never thought of applying it to Faramir and Eowyn but it doesn't work so well! I love reading stories about Faramir and Eowyn and this portrays Faramir's wonder at Eowyn's love exceptionally well! I loved it.
I think that the separate section correspond nicely with the chosen verse from the song! Glad I happened upon this story!
Thanks!

I'm glad you felt that way. I love Eric Clapton's songs too. :)

Yes, this chapter is priceless. Best ending you could have written. *giggle* I chorkled when Faramir tripped and actually fell! :D My Dear, could you do a piece on "A Lady in red is dancin' with me?" My fave love song of all time. I think it was written for Fergy back in the early nineties? Oh well, if you don't know it, that's all right. *hugs* Neilia
Author's reply
I'll try it out as soon as I'm able, though I'll have to find the lyrics first.
I'm really glad you liked it. Thanks for sticking to this story right to the end! :)

What a "Wonderful", romantic story! To me, Faramir and Eowyn's romance was one of Tolkien's greatest, and I think they would have had a good marriage, though not without some ups and downs. And I do think that Faramir was a very romantic fellow...
Author's reply
Indeed he was! Faramir was a sensitive sort of person (said so in the book in different words, didn't it?) and I can well imagine a sensitive person being romantic.
As for Tolkien's greatest romance... well, there's also Tuor and Idril, in my own opinion, but yes, I think Eowyn and Faramir beat them, hands down.
Thanks for the review! :)

she has rendered me, the stern and wise Steward of Gondor, a happy fool.
What a lovely story. :)
Author's reply
Thank you! :)
I especially love thinking of Faramir as a "happy fool", since it's so unlike him! I guess I had fun making him into a complete nincompoop over Eowyn, LOL.

Hurray! He is one to let folks know where his heart lies, and it is so right for these two!
Author's reply
That's right! I think Faramir could keep a mask over his emotions when he wanted to, but when he DOESN'T want to, or knows that there's no harm letting others know just how much he loves his wife, he lets loose for all the world to see.
Thank you for reviewing!

Ruined bubble or not, I still see its beauty and glow. Faramir is no fool, he has found his soul mate...a rare thing. *sigh* Rare, indeed. *swaying to melody in my own dream bubble* Hugs, Neilia
Author's reply
Yes, you're absolutely right, and Faramir wholeheartedly agrees with you, too.
Thanks! Last chapter on the way. :)

Beautiful descriptive imagery as usual. This really is a lovely piece. Looking forward to the next (though sad that it will be the last).

· Chapter 2: I Feel Wonderful
And as I recall that she is my sun, I suddenly understand that I must share my light with others. The world would be a gloomy place indeed if the sun shone only in one area
Your Faramir is exactly the noble, thoughtful, selfless, man of "quality" that we love so dearly.
Author's reply
I was actually afraid that people would find him unusually selfish in this chapter, but that's only because I wrote all -- and I mean all -- of his thoughts down, some of which we all think once in a while. Because really, when it comes to his deepest nature, he's really remarkably selfless.
Author Reply: *Because really, when it comes to his deepest nature, he's remarkably selfless.
Sorry 'bout that!

· Chapter 2: I Feel Wonderful
Another lovely chapter! It is so sweet to see Faramir have a momentary feeling of fierce protectiveness towards his wife.
I think I would be one of those who would be openly staring at *him* though!
Author's reply
LOL, me too.
Thanks! I like that-- fierce protectiveness-- it's so unlike Faramir, and yet... like him, at the same time, though that doesn't make any sense. (I'm sorry, I'm very sleepy.)
I'm glad you liked it-- thanks for reviewing!

He can afford to be magnaminous--he has her as his own wife, love, and helpmeet!
Yes, he has reason to feel wonderful!
Author's reply
After he thought carefully about it and overcame his jealousy, that was his own conclusion, yes, exactly.
Thanks for reviewing! :)

· Chapter 2: I Feel Wonderful
Faramir is wise not to give way to jealousy. I imagine the ladies all look at him though he will not realise it!
Author's reply
Exactly! Since these are his thoughts, and Faramir really is quite humble, it would never even occur to him that women look at him in exactly the same way. He knows that he is not "unhandsome", but Eowyn is, to him, the "fairest lady who walks this earth", which is quite a big difference to his way of thinking.

*humming tune dreamily* The song comes alive with each chapter. Do continue with the melody. *floating on musical notes* Hugs, Neilia
Author's reply
I love your little phrases, "dancing for more", "floating on musical notes". LOL. Just thought I'd mention it.
The next chapter, one of my favorites, should be up in two or three days.

· Chapter 1: You Look Wonderful
That was adorable!
The simplicity of this story is it's strength. Faramir doesn't sensor his thoughts, he just says how he feels. The idea of getting ready for a party is so ordinary, yet he is able to relish the extraordinary things in his life.
Thank you for this, I really enjoyed it.
Author's reply
I'm glad you did, indeed I am. My greatest fear was that people would find it boring because of the way I wrote Faramir's thoughts-- all of them-- but I'm relieved that you liked it as much as you did.
Next chapter coming up tomorrow, look out!

Oh, yes! You got my romantic nature singing and swaying...very beautifully written. Dancing for more. :D Love, Neilia
Author's reply
If you're dancing for more, watch out for the third chapter! :) That's all I'm saying.
Thank you for your lovely review, it really made my day!

Another great tale, Violin Ghost!
I loved the first line 'we are connoisseurs...' And the rest of it, to be sure.
I was a little concerned by Faramir's long silence when that 'difficult' question was asked. I was afraid Eowyn might misunderstand. Glad she had the patience to wait and the self-esteem not to be too concerned.
Lovely, lovely chapter. Can't wait for the next one!
Author's reply
Thank you! Eowyn has complete faith in her husband. The answer he gives will always be the truth, whether she has to wait for it not.
The next installment should be up in a few days. Thanks for reviewing! :)
