Ohhh! It’s Elladan and Elrohir, isn’t it? I thought it must have been Elrond and Elros and was confused. But Elladan and Elrohir make much more sense…(and if Elohir ws younnger, does that mean Elros was younger, those two having similar names?)

heehee!

KathyG · 23 September 2023 · Chapter 2: Resurrection

This new body housing its Reborn Occupant, that the Valar are tending in that Cottage of the Reborn (and that will soon be awake), is a body like no other that they have ever tended before--a glorified resurrection body! The same kind of body that we, the Body of Christ, will be given when the time comes.

KathyG · 17 June 2023 · Chapter 3: Resurrection II

He is risen, indeed! I love these two stories.

TeleriAlqualonde · 12 May 2012 · Chapter 21: B2MEM: March 7: One Rainy Day in Fangorn Forest

This is amazing!!! I love the idea. I also loved that Yavanna appeared, and what she said about Aule being proud made me smile. Lovely piece. Also, nice touch not revealing who was speaking till the end. I totally thought it was an Ent. XD Love that it was Yavanna; made me happy. :)

I love this! Such a cool idea to capture the moment Yavanna made the trees. You do it really well. :) I like that its not till the very end that the reader realizes what she is doing. I squeeled when I realized, lol. XD Very well done! :D

Raksha The Demon · 6 April 2011 · Chapter 29: Hesitation - a true drabble

A wonderful look at the Twins' last moments in Middle-earth. I have always thought they would journey together into the West; and it's written here so powerfully and plausibly.

Tigger · 6 April 2011 · Chapter 28: Sing All Ye People

Never thought of this before, but I can see how a young son's voice during *that* time of teenagehood would be painful for an Elven Mother. Hobbit one too come to think of it. Great. Just great. I think I just sic'ed a Plot Bunny in my general direction. Make it stop...MAKE IT STOP!! Sigh...Too late. ;o) Lovely story and gave me a much needed chuckle. Thanks!! :oD

Yep, that could take a hike out of you! Lynda

Larner · 6 April 2011 · Chapter 29: Hesitation - a true drabble

I'm glad these two did not choose to be separated. Well done!

shirebound · 5 April 2011 · Chapter 29: Hesitation - a true drabble

What a joyous scene!

shirebound · 5 April 2011 · Chapter 28: Sing All Ye People

This is adorable. :)

Larner · 29 November 2010 · Chapter 28: Sing All Ye People

As are all mothers of adolescent boys given to singing! Yes!

Larner · 19 September 2010 · Chapter 27: Sam's Arrival

Alas that he must find his healing so, rather than with those who knew Frodo in life. I think he would have loved Tol Eressea, and suspect that Frodo had hoped he would be able to rejoiced in such memories as they might have shared. Lovely, but sad.

Lady Edlyn · 13 September 2010 · Chapter 27: Sam's Arrival

This made me cry. Not out of sorrow but because Ulmo's act was one of absolute and perfect mercy. The grief that would have encompassed SAm had he reached Tol Erresea to find Frodo had already passed on would have injured his fea so badly that it might never really heal. If you haven't entered this in the MEFAs for this year it ought to be!

cookiefleck · 3 September 2010 · Chapter 27: Sam's Arrival

I've re-read this several times and thought about the premise. I think it's more cruel of Ulmo to deprive Sam of his free will and make that decision for him. Sam is quite the stout-hearted fellow, as we know. And, after all, he might have wanted to see Tol Eressea before moving on to the next destination. Also, the implication that he drowned also conjures up images of fright and terror. Interesting premise... food for thought.

shirebound · 1 September 2010 · Chapter 27: Sam's Arrival

It's lovely to think that the Ring-bearers would be treated with such tenderness and compassion.

Celeritas · 1 September 2010 · Chapter 27: Sam's Arrival

XD I really, really love this spin--both on fanon itself and on the essay--(you've outlined a possibility that I at least had never thought of, and I already have two options--one that existed before the essay and one that sprung up afterwards in a commentfest). This has just enough of the disturbing quality to it (what happened? If the ship sank, did any elves go down with it? Were Sam's last thoughts ones of despair or did he actually go down in his sleep?) to make Ulmo actually feel like a Vala and one that is perilous at that--despite the greater good and the comfort that we know was behind his intentions. And all in a hundred words! Well done!

Virtuella · 2 March 2010 · Chapter 26: Aragorn's Birthday (A drabble)

"even as spring creeps into the dreariness of aged winter" That was a lovely expression!

Cairistiona · 2 March 2010 · Chapter 26: Aragorn's Birthday (A drabble)

So many of his birthdays marked years ending in frustration... but yes, he would look forward in hope! Perfect.

shirebound · 2 March 2010 · Chapter 26: Aragorn's Birthday (A drabble)

Such a long, lonely journey. You bring us his heart and thoughts very beautifully.

Larner · 1 March 2010 · Chapter 26: Aragorn's Birthday (A drabble)

Wonderful! Perfect for our incipient King's birthday! And soon enough things will be working far faster!

Larner · 28 December 2009 · Chapter 25: Last Yule - a drabble

Again, a wonderful drabble, and so delightful to see Bilbo involved! Next Yule on Tol Eressea--with Frodo!

Larner · 11 December 2009 · Chapter 24: For the Want of a Hand

And in reality it is better this way. Alas that he was bound to such a foul oath to begin with!
